About Hawaiianflipboi Born in 1991, Joshua was born in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. His family and his sisters left when he was four. They moved to the North-West, Washington, where he will live for 13 years. He started writing for his sister because she wanted to peruse her singing when he was in 7th grade. When he started writing for himself, the rhymes took control as he painted lyrical passion on his notepad. Realizing his grandfathers death that happened a while back, he got further in touch with his culture. Hawaiianflipboi originated from him being Hawaiian and Filipino. He was going to change his name many times because he only expressed his Hawaiian side, but HFB stuck. In 9th grade, his "braddah" from school, Bo aka Khmer Boy, were sitting in front of a computer with a karaoke mic. They started rapping for fun, but as they noticed how much they loved it, they created their rap group, Da Phakt Boyz. Their first real song was called Technological Breakup. Hawaiianflipboi not only can make sensual, head nodding songs, he also writes about world struggle and Hawaiian Sovereignty. As years went by, and many songs created, difficulties and pain forced Hawaiianflipboi and his family back to the islands in 2008. That was the past, - Time to make his Future.
