Bio
Alberto Bario inizia la sua attività di DJ nel 1991 all'Isola nel Kantiere di Bologna, inizialmente come DJ Hip Hop, Funky e Raggamuffin, per poi spostarsi, nel 1993, sulle sonorità più British del Trip Hop, genere che inizierà a proporre per primo in città, nell'allora neonato Link Project, di cui fu fra i soci fondatori. Con la sua fuoriuscita dal Link nel 1999, si interrompe anche momentaneamente la sua attività di DJ, che riprende poi quasi casualmente verso il 2005 durante delle feste in una casa allora molto nota nell'ambiente alternativo Bolognese, Casalogic. Nell'estate del 2006 è parte della scuderia di DJ di VIcolo Bolognetti, e nel 2007 diventa una dei DJ resident dell'EX Forno (bar del MAMBO, museo d'arte moderna di Bologna), continuando a lavorare in diverse situazioni cittadine. Nell'Aprile 2008 è stato ingaggiato dalla l'Oreal per la fiera Cosmoprof, dove ha passato 4 giorni nello stand della Redken (vedi album fotografico annesso). Nel Marzo del 2009 ha suonato agli aperitivi al Teatro Manzoni durante la rassegna Il trillo del diavolo dedicata ai migliori solisti contemporanei del violino, dove ha proposto una selezione a base di versioni inconsuete di brani di musica classica. Sempre nel 2009 poi, mentre metteva musica al festival Slow Food on Film organizzato presso la Cineteca di Bologna, viene notato da Thomas Struck, organizzatore del festival Kulinarische Kino del BERLINALE, e viene così ingaggiato come DJ ufficiale della 60° edizione del FESTIVAL DEL CINEMA DI BERLINO. Dopo quell'esperienza ha partecipato ad altri festival cinematografici nazionali (CORTO IN BRA, BELLARIA FILM FESTIVAL). A Settembre ha curato per TONI & GUY e BMW la parte musicale della presentazione della nuova Mini Countryman. Collabora continuativamente in qualità sia di DJ, che di VJ e tecnico audio con l'hotel I PORTICI ed è il DJ di riferimento della GALLERIA ASTUNI. Fra le ultime cose il 24 Marzo 2012 ha messo musica all'inaugurazione del nuovo DESIGUAL STORE a Bologna. Come VJ, ha prodotto montaggi video per gli eventi "A PERFECT DAY" (fiera del matrimonio di pregio) e un suo lavoro video su Federico Fellini è stato proiettato durante l'inaugurazione del nuovo palacongressi di Rimini. Essendo la sua passione per la musica ad ampio spettro, ha scritto diversi articoli per la rivista INSOUND, per la quale si occupa di musica e tecnologia audio, è del Febbraio 2008 un'articolo sulla storia socio-tecnologia del DJing, mentre nel Marzo del 2009 è stato pubblicato uno speciale sulla storia della Lounge Music, sempre analizzata da un punto di vista socio-tecnologico. DJ SETS Dal momento che la mia passione per la musica è sempre stata ad ampio spettro, ho disponibili DJ sets in grado di soddisfare le più diverse esigenze. Per quanto riguarda gli apertitivi ho il set "Italian Lounge" (di cui potete avere un'assaggio nel Dolce vita mix) in cui propongo una selezione musicale a base di musica originale degli anni '60/'70, il cui piatto forte è costituito da versioni inconsuete di canzoni classiche Italiane dell'epoca mixate all'interno di un repertorio costituito dalla classica Cocktail Music degli anni '60 a base di Bossanova, Swing, Easy Listening, Space Age Pop, Mambo, Cha Cha Cha e brani tratti da colonne sonore di film Italiani e non, condito con versioni inusuali (Moog Music) o esotiche (sitar beat & co.) di classici pop dell'epoca, il tutto allo scopo di fornire una visione il più possibile caleindoscopica della produzione musicale figlia della rivoluzione stereofonica. Per situazioni più danzerecce posso invece attingere al migliaio di titoli della mia collezione di Funk, rare groove, Disco music, electro, Hip Hop. Recentemente poi mi sono particolarmente dedicato all'Electro Swing (di cui ho praticamente tutto quello che è uscito negli ultimi anni) ed al Mashed Funk e Breakbeat. Relativamente al VJing, la musica può essere accompagnata da una parte video realizzata su richiesta. Ho iniziato proiettando durante i miei party montaggi di scene tratte da film comici e di fantascienza degli anni '50/60 (un estratto lo potete vedere nel video Movie sample...), e visto il successo riscosso, ora realizzo installazioni video su richiesta. SERVIZI PER MATRIMONI Avendo curato negli ultimi anni, la parte musicale di più di 30 matrimoni, sono in grado di offrire un servizio molto più che professionale. Essendo un tecnico audio dispongo di 2 impianti di amplificazione di elevata qualità (casse Tannoy, finali Hi End autocostruiti), configurabili a seconda delle esigenze, disponibile anche impianto luci. Il servizio comprende sia la musica per l'aperitivo e la cena, che la gestione dell'eventuale parte dance. Alberto Bario. 3385011086 MY HISTORY As soon as I was born, my father starts feeding me with stuckin European Romantic '800 music. This kind of musical education had immediately tangible effects on my little brain, so then my hidden musical talent starts showing up in precoucius age in playing weird rhytms with the lid pots of my grandmother's kitchen, used like drums. Then, ashtonished from such musical character, at age of 9 my parents sent me to the local music school, violin class, and at age of 10 I was able to write backwards by memory the complete score of the Beethoven's 6th symphony. Everything was going well, I was the first of my violin class, and I won a student's grant that included a trip to Wien to visit the Mozart's tomb... But one day the irreparable happened. While visiting my father's uncle electronic laboratory, he built for me a little sine-wave oscillator, made with a transistor, a potentiometer and a little speaker, and immediately a dangerous virus sticked in my sensitive brain. After this experience, while the istitutional GRUNDIG home radio played Shumann with the frequency blocked on the RADIO 3 classic music program, I started to use my secret japanese transistor radio that my grandmother gave me for Christmas (in way to keep my hands busy, OFF off from her pots) to produce weird souds that I recorded on a cassette deck in way to sonorize my japanese's robots battles... and one day, lookin for a Czech radio station, I was ashtonished listening strange musical sounds comin from It... sounds that will persecute myself until I bought, in 1990 my first Minimoog. That sound was produced from a weird pop song called "Popcorn". And the illness become. So, as soon I got enough money to buy a record, I started to collect weird experimental music, starting from Edgar Varese "Arcana Ionization", Anthony Braxton "This Time" and Frank Zappa "Weasels ripped my flesh". But one day, in a record shop located in a depressed city of an obscure part of north-east Italy (Udine) I found an Afrika Bambaataa record. "Shango - Funk Teology" that sure was sent to the wrong address, then another Funk-electro virus starts to copulate withe the other that just was living in my brain. The result was another obscure force that starts driving me towards the origin of that sound. So, when at the beginning of the '90 I started to play Old school Hip Hop in squats and underground parties, I found out that I liked more the rare groove samples that was the backbone of that music, than the Hip Hop itself, so I start to buy every Funky record or Rave Groove compilation I found in used record shop all over Italy, then organizing parties based on Early Funky, Disco and Hip Hop. In 1994 I partecipate to the foundation of the underground club "Link Project". IN THE MYSPACE PLAYER you can listen to some of the mixtapes I produced that year. Just to be correct, in the "Trip Hop Mix" I mixed the Amiri Baraka poetry "Black dada nihilismus", recited by himself... At at the moment I have more or less 1500 records regarding the hystory of black music only, starting from the earliests blues recording of the century to the mid-'90 abstract Hip Hop, passing for the classic Jazz (Duke ellington, Coleman Hawkins, Count Basie, Lester Young...), the mid-century Jump/Jive Blues (Cab Calloway Earl Bostic, Big Jay McNeely, Johnny Guitar Watson...) the '70 free Jazz (Ornette Coleman, James "Blood" Ulmer, Archie Shepp, Roscoe Mitchell and the AEOC...) the (obvious) '70 funk and Disco, the early '80 Electro..... My whole collection now it's running towards 3000 records, mostly vinyls, from blues, to free funk, to easy listening, to 60' latin cha cha, to space age music, to early electronic and Moog, to hawaiian and exotica to rare groove funky and disco.... that I usually drop in private party or selected aperitives.. DJ CAREER In the early '90, when I come to live in Bologna I started to do the DJ under the name of Albertik (or sometimes, Captain Backstabber...), dropping old school Hip Hop, Raggamuffin and Rare Groove in parties and squats... In 1994/1998 I was one of the founders, and DJ resident, at Link Project, where I organized the first parties in the city based on Mò Wax trip Hop, the early Drum 'n Bass called Jungle, Ninja Tune Breakbeats and King Tubby's Dub. Due the lack of professionality in the organization, in the firsts months of life of the club, being an ex designer, I do some graphics too... (with the help of my brother Alex, see the pics on the left...). But, after having produced the first techno and experimental trip hop record in the city, (check beetween my friends babeburger and hawazz) I get tired of that humanless music and I start to lookin for something different. Then, back to my original tracks, in 1999, thanks to the web, I was able to discover the differents side of the "moog music" Enoch Light "percussion records", space Lps of Attilio Mineo, Harry Revel, 101 strings and more, and I literally start to visit (more than before) each flea market of my region just to see what I had forgotten in the past years. From 2007 to 2009 I've been DJ Resident at EX Forno Lounge Bar (located at the MAMbo, comunal modern art gallery of Bologna), where I select original '60 Easy listening and mood music, spage age pop, Moog Music, vintage Latin and selected Italian Weirditudes... with the help of my favorite assistant, the Jeff Koons Puppy (see pics...). April/May 2009 I begin my activity on international film festivals, starting at ..Cineteca di Bologna.., where I've played at ..Human Rights Nights and Slow Food on Film, There I've met Mr. Thomas Struck, that bring me to Berlinale where from 14 to 19 February, I've played at the the official restaurant of the festival, the Gropious mirror restaurant (see the related photo album)... In June 2010 I've played my cinematic repertorie at ..Bellaria Film Festival.., and ..Corto in Bra.... From October 2009 I work as sound engineer, DJ and VJ at ..I Portici Hotel.. of Bologna, where I care about the sonorization of dinners and aperitives.. DJ SETS I've differents DJ sets for each situation... For aperitives I have a set I call "Italian Lounge", that include both classic easy listening music, than foreign or bizarre version of classic Italian songs... (Guaglione, Arrivederci Roma, Quando Quando Quando, Io che non vivo senza te, Ciao Ciao bambina...) as well as instrumental Italian version of famous musical themes, mostly taken from obscure '60 production and original Soundtrack's LPs of Italian '60/'70 movies... all mixed with other classic cocktail music like Easy Bossa, Hammond groove, Italian Cha Cha... just to have a idea of what I'm talkin about, please check the ..Dolce vita mix.. in the player on the left..... But, if you NEED TO DANCE, I have available a collection of more than 1000 records of '70 Funky, Soul, Rare Groove, early Disco, '80 Electro... and other strange dancing delicatessen. If you want to shake your butt to the REAL '70 groove this is THE STUFF you're lookin for...
