I love deep meaningful conversations about incredibly shallow topics.
Music
All kinds. SKA and swing, punk, rockabilly, rock and everything in between. Those crazy '80s songs you hate but can't seem to get out of your head. Currently, I listen to alot of Backyardigans music (my baby boy is a big fan). As much as I hate to admit it, those songs are damn catchy.
Movies
Horror movies of all kinds, unless it involves evil clowns (damn you Stephen King). Comedies - the raunchier the better. Mixing the two creates my personal masterpieces. Shaun of the Dead, Evil Dead movies. Love ROCKY HORROR!! Love claymation - Nightmare Before Christmas is my favorite. Reservoir Dogs, 28 Days Later, Princess Bride, Sliding Doors, Fight Club, anything by Kevin Smith, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton and Mel Brooks, the list goes on. No time to waste on chick flicks.
Television
X-files and Buffy will always be my favorites. Wonderfalls was the funniest and most original show ever (chances are I was the only one watching). I also love Scrubs, CSI, Lost, House, Heroes, Ghost Hunters, Robot Chicken and Family Guy ... I don't get out much.
Books
I love to read. Tom Robbins is my favorite, I've read his books a thousand times. Short stories by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Although having kids puts a stop to most of my reading. Having a kid's face permanently pressed between me and a good book tends to keep me from reading.
Heroes
My parents and grandparents, friends and family: for putting up with me and helping me out no matter what.
My husband: for years of putting up with my constant crap (I know it takes superpowers to control me sometimes).
About me: Anyone reading this probably already thinks they know who I am. Childhood friends may remember the skinny girl with the poodle perm and glasses. High school friends may remember the long haired hippie chick spouting poetry at the Coffee Grounds. Twentysomething friends may remember the spiky haired tattooed pool shark with a love for the nightlife. I have been all those people and more. Now I am a wife and a mother, with no time left to explore my wild side. I have 2 sons, Brady and Norman, who have made me grow up and act more like the soccer mom I never expected to be. I have a husband who started as a drunken bar fling and know we debate what to tell our boys when they ask how we met. My dark side is still there, like a secret identity I keep hidden from the world. The black vinyl and dog collars carefully hidden beneath the work shirts and baby clothes. They come out once in a while, so I never forget who I really am. That evil smile on my face is me realizing that I already gave in to my dark side. Who I'd like to meet: All those I've loved and lost, friends and enemies, people I've known through the good times and bad. Anyone else out there who, like me, wears normalcy like a secret identity to hide the fact they belong to the real life freak show that is life.

Well friends, another year just streaked by like a flash. By the end of this week, I hope you have looked at Christmas lights, listened to soothing carols, and hugged someone you were missing. Wishing your Christmas is a beautiful memory maker!
