Making her acting and musical stage debut at age five in Toronto was the perfect first step for Hayley Gene, and she has never looked back. Gravitating to all things musical, she has grown into a confident, talented songwriter and performer. Her lyrics are poetic, her melodies memorable and her voice clearly engages the soul.
Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hayley Gene has nurtured her performing talents.
Compelling thousands with the a capella quartet The 4 Corners since1995, Hayley Gene had the opportunity to explore her love of choral singing and develop her strength in harmonizing. Hayley Gene and the 4 Corners have toured across Canada performing with her father Fred Penner and that experience has greatly influenced in shaping her music career and encouraged her to begin her own journey.
Now, Hayley Gene is emerging as a vibrant songwriter and solo artist. Her solo music journey has carried her from various stages and coffee houses across Canada. Hayley Genes performances blend a variety of musical genres combining strong melody and harmony with her poetic lyrical style. With a theatrical understanding of the stage, Hayley Gene creates a relaxed and honest connection with her audience.

I'm going to Shanghai this weekend. I bought a new watch. I use a hole in the ground as a toliet. Penelope Cruz is a fantastic actor. Seriously. He accent use to throw me, but i've watched 2 movies with her in them in the last two days, Noel, and Banditas. Both movies were shit, but she still held her own. But back to movies in China. The only release shitty movies in China. Like the other night we watched Shark attack three. Ha, actually it is worth checking out for the one-linner that comes out of nowhere. Let me explain it to you. So, this moive Shark Attack 3 is very Cammpy, the whole movie they are chasing the Shark, then the two main characters form a love connection. The all come off the boat and out of no where this guy says, "Wow, i'm kinda wired. Why don't you come back to my place and I'll eat your pussy." This movie didn't even have a swear word in it. Oh so funny. WEll now i'm rambling, I love you and must go back to class.
Fine, I will fill your mind with my thougths. I hate people who complain. I hate Chinese food. I love air conditioning. I'm teaching my kids to sing "time is on my side," by the Rolling Stones. I hate the word girly. Sam Shepard is a playwrite and an actor. He was in The NOte Book and Banditas. I really love the moive Tearms of Endearment. More to come...
