Dr Q has played hurdy-gurdy with such legends as Suns of Arqa, Rootsman & Muslim Gauze, and fronted the legendary trailblazing world/roots band Celtarabia. Dr Q has appeared in session and has had many plays on BBC Radio1 being featured by both (the late) John Peel and (still living) Andy Kershaw.
The amazing Wall brothers provide the electronic layering; Sam anchoring the sound with his bass playing, and Ben counterpointing the gurdy with jaw-droppingly phenomenal guitar work and kaoss pad.
Zeb Budworth is the undisputed Rhythm Master, pounding out infectious, driving beats on Kit Drums and Percussion.
Look out for the Hayokee guests : wild and wonderful musicians, singers, jugglers, acrobats or dancers who have been known to appear on stage with them. Could you be one? Tell us about yourself and wait for the invite.

Sounds Like
Psychadelic, hurdy-gurdy, proggy, dubby, dancey, rock with a medieval twist.... or something thereabouts.
Hayokee: a diverse and fantastic array of musicians creating a vibrant, bizarre, spectacular musical weave of ancient meets modern.
Their insistent layers of sound are trance inducing – true shamen, compelling you to dance.
Hayokee create a hot happening collision of sweaty syncopated rhythms and archaic melodies - frequently stunning in their vision and audacity - a truly exhilarating and unforgettable musical experience.
Expect nothing less than audacious showmen delivering storming instrumental dance music of breath-taking vision.
For bookings please either message us or mail us at hayokee@hotmail.co.uk A Few Quotes:
'An unprecedented success that is sure to be repeated by Hayokee time and again. They have got to be favourites to play festival stages locally and next year are sure contenders for some of the bigger festivals and outdoor music events nationally.'thisisull.com
‘Imagine a Dream Theater from Arabia. That's Hayokee…we all felt instant respect at their astounding set… Well deserving of a headline set at Metieval! They are probably the most original band I have ever heard, mixing the newest technology with the Hurdy Gurdy. After a resounding applause, they played probably the best encore to grace the stage of Metieval, even inviting the audience to play with them!’ Metieval Festival
'If you're fed up of seeing the same thing over and over again, then see Hayokee.....I've never seen anything like it!' David J. Rangel - The Chapel
'A cross between the epic wall of sound of Arcade Fire and the guitar-centricity of Van Halen.'
'With a mixture of influences they sound like Tool took some LSD and travelled back to the 60s and jammed with Syd Barrett.'

This Saturday sees the return of Love Music Hate Racism at Hull City Hall providing our local bands with an opportunity to showcase their talent next to artists which played all them years ago for the same cause that we are still sadly facing now.
The day will start with an eclectic mix of Hull music from all corners of the scene and lead on to an evening of local and national heroes featuring pioneers of the two tone movement still supporting the fight against racism.
