Influences
No separation!
We are influenced by music that makes you nod your head and tap your feet. We like it if it makes you get off the wall to dance like nobody's watching or soothes the soul like you've never been hurt by love before.
Music triggers emotion in our shared collective consciousness.
This is what we mean by no separation; the ability to look past genres to see and understand what music does for all people no matter how diverse.
Open-minded thought and music is the weapon of the future.
Much peace, love, respect, funk and soul.
Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Hazard To Ya Booty fuses elements of funk, rock, hip-hop and soul to make a head-bobbing sound that's guaranteed to get the crowd moving and sweating. If Hazard could inject any more energy into their live shows it would create an audio supernova and the room would be in danger of being sucked into a funky black hole. Starting out in MO at Truman State University in 2000 and making a huge splash on the local college scene, Hazard has gone through various line up changes since but all the while stayed true to its core principal: Gettin' that booty moovin'.
One generally thinks to Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Roots, Galactic, and/or Dumpstaphunk when experiencing Hazard’s mix of melody and rhymes with rocking and funky grooves all accented by a slamming horn section. Other parallels can be drawn to Sly and the Family Stone, Parliament, James Brown, and Stevie Wonder, all of whom Hazard play tribute to in their live sets. Along with winning several local battle of the bands competitions Hazard has played with Nappy Roots, Jurassic 5, Common, Ludo, Pomeroy, Heiruspecs, Core Project, Freekbass, and Ya Mama's Big Fat Booty Band.
Hazard has sold over 5,000 copies of their two self-released full-length albums, "Putcha Hand On It" (2003) and "Squeeze," (2004) and is currently working on their much-anticipated 3rd album due out at the end of 2009. Hazard still plays around the Midwest on a regular basis performing 45min power sets or 3 hour extended jams. Start stretching if you catch their live show because you better be prepared for a workout. When they kick it, so vivid, folks dig it like a bad dog in a garden, no kiddin!

I hardly ever send out pointless crap-mails to bother you, seeing as you've already taken time to add me or have a fast listen to my music, but I thought I would bug everyone with some new developements today.
First off, I added like 4 or 5 new songs to my page today. They are at the bottom of the playlist, because for some reason it would'nt let me re-order my playlist, so just scroll down to the last few. One of them is an old recording from 2003 that I came across on a random disc, so I thought I would share it with everyone. It's called "Trouble 2003" and it has a recognizable Bob Marley sample in it that you may enjoy. The other few, are songs off my current album, that I just got around to putting up finally, and BTW if you have'nt listened to "Enter the Centaur" yet, get ready to laugh your ass off! It's absolutely ridiculous. lol
Next off, if you have'nt looked lately; I have some new shows up on my show schedule. Some here, some there, some with some notable names in the industry.
Thanks for being a friend, and please do keep in touch with me,
Love, Spark1duh?
