About me: 30-something Londoner, suffering addictions to wine, vodka and creme eggs. The very proud owner of a pink smart fortwo!! Woohoo!!
Love listening to stuff with a bit of a electronic/punk edge. Berlin pop-punk is definitely the way to go ;-) Saying that, the Bee Gees get the occasional play too, along with Kylie! Musical tastes vary drastically and I don't care if something's mainstream or not. I'm not so up my own arse that I won't admit to liking it still once the masses do. Finding time to go through some of the more obscure bands here on myspace too and will be adding more soon. There ain't much I don't like, tbh. Rock, punk, folk (well, some!), pop, electronica, new wave and indie (off the top of my head). But I'm extremely fussy about what would go on my playlist out of all those categories. If I love it, I *really* love it.
Adore people with a bit of an interesting slant on life. Deep thinkers are top of my list along with inane conversations, so long as they're vitally important at the time! Love creative, 'different' people. Would love to sit and watch someone paint or draw. Hope one day to travel through France, stopping off at vineyards and chateaus and feasting on fresh bread and cheese by scenic rivers on a red gingham cloth, perhaps doing a bit of painting or writing, myself. Okay, so I'm a bit of a romantic at heart ;-)
Travelled a bit to places such as Amsterdam, Prague, Brugge, France (various), Scotland (various), Belfast, Portugal (various), Egypt, Turkey, Canaries, Italy (Florence and Pisa), Spain (various), Gibraltar, Sri Lanka, Cyprus (Northern and Southern), Greek Islands, Jamaica and Tunisia. Would love to visit the Far East, Russia and South America. Prague probably still remains my favourite, love the architecture, the jazz and the whole dark, basement vibe about the place. Visited a fair few times now and looking forward to going back as soon as possible.
I just like honest, open, talkative, interesting, intriguing, content people. 'Flashy' don't work for me. Would rather someone have a fiver in their pocket but with more to give than someone with a million in the bank. It's *what* you give that's important, whether it's your time, your heart, your last Rolo... Get the picture?
I know my own mind and can be somewhat stubborn at times. Don't like people taking the piss or messing me about. Half the time they're just on an ego boost and want to feel popular or needed.
I like people who know their own minds too. So many haven't got a clue who they really are and seem to carve away at their friends, sticking slices onto their own skin. Be proud of who you are and trust your opinions and decisions! If you need to check the NME, or ask a friend to see if a band's cool or not, you're pretty sad in my book.
