Learning to draw or paint is, I believe, as easy or difficult as learning to play the piano, dance a ballet or write prose. They are learned skills that require patience and practice, trial and error. It may be true that there is only one Mozart or Michealangelo, but anyone can learn to play Mozart or paint a beautiful painting. I don't think there is any room for exclusion in art. Art should be created and experienced by anyone.
Many of my paintings depict simple subjects, and in my most recent work even some of the back grounds are disappearing. I feel the direction that I am going is toward even simpler subjects and cleaner images, but I'm never totally sure what direction I am going because the fun of creating art is exploring the endless possibilities.
Who I'd like to meet: Artists of all shapes, sizes and persuasions. Art lovers and art buyers and people who sing in the shower.
All is good except it is colder than a witches tit here. I swear the older I get the less I can handle this. Bring on the Warrmer weather. Only 64 more days until SPRING>>>YEAH!!!!

Didn't know if you would see my response to to comment on my blog so, here it is:
I know you may not believe this, but I researched it on other media as well as I thought perhaps the movie had over stated much but turns out it's all true (ie read NY article, some blog from a grad student who did some work with electronic voting systems. She gave an overview of all the voting systems with their different flaws and strengths etc.) Anyway, thanks for keeping me honest though.
I'm in my last week of the semester and the shit is hitting the fan. I have to reed 3 more books, write a 20 page paper, make a 20 min. presentation, make 3 paintings and 6 large drawings in less than a week. yea... I'm about toast. How have you been these days?
