A guy, a guitar, and a computer. And a bass. The bass was starting to feel bad that it was never credited on MySpace.
Influences
lou barlow, buddy holly, slowdive, godflesh, my psyche.
Sounds Like
repetition and chaos, paranoia and war. the calm before the storm. the storm. the insurance claims adjustors arguing after the storm. and maybe a bit of philipino house music thrown in for good measure.
I have been making terrible music under variations of this name for the better part of 15 years, from garage noise to just plain weird s**t that the computer spit out.
Hi H.C.S., Your layers of absinthe and torsion form concretions of hyper-alimentation. Your sweet voice is like the application of aloe vera upon a sunburnt back. In your presence even my shadow acquires the sensation of touch. Cities crumble, skies ignite spontaneously in your presence. If I could have just one wish, it would be to wake up to your songs in the morning. Your tears evoke a taste as memorable as honey. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. Your beauty is multiplexed in contemplation of your multidimensional effervescence. The stickers hugging the fruit smell better than the perfume of ambergris. What wonderful vibrations you are capable of. Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. Please let me hear more of that wonderful sound. Blinking reveals the true visage of beauty hidden within your eyes. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. The sand runes crossing your divided consciousness do speak of contemptuous monsters being slayed by flying phoenixes.
Finally started recording some music. Just need to get a real mic to redo the vocals...I've just been screeming into my laptop. I'm planning on setting up a myspace music account to show it off. We're called "Panic Data", so if you get a friend request, don't spam alert.
How are things otherwise? It's been awhile. I feel like I'm busy all the time recently, but haven't accomplished anything. Still going up to damaged on thursday nights?
Just wanted to thank you for adding me Patrick. It's always a pleasure hanging out with you guys. Hope to see you again real soon. Much love and respect. -L
I finally had a chance to listen to your work today--I really like the mesh of different sounds you incorporate into these pieces. The trumpet in 'the storm before the storm' adds a layer of tension in an interesting way, because it is the only familiar sound amidst all the chaos. I love the effect. You ever think about adding your own voice track of spoken lyrics to any of these?
To was great to hear from you and all that you've been up to,
i love the loops you've got going here. they're truly interesting and dirty, with that real analog sound. it would be sweet if you could get some real drums in here since everything is so analog. even a drum machine with mock kit sounds would be great.
have you sent a friend request to the band's myspace?
