About HDP
HDPvidz is a non-profit music video ripping organization founded in 2001 by brutal666, Mu|D and [munk] and is made up of members from all over the globe. HDP was one of the first public music video ripping crews to arise from the net. The crew’s goal is to bring metal music videos to the masses by offering captured and encoded videos in the highest possible quality, ranging from VCD (MPEG), SVCD (MPEG2) and XViD (MPEG4) format (***note that the quality will vary from video to video depending on the format, but rest assure they are all encoded in the best possible quality that the format can offer); this way people can watch their favorite bands music video (most of which are not aired in their countries MV channels) whenever and wherever they like. HDP supports metal bands by releasing their videos to the public (visitors from over 120 different countries) with an average of about 12,000 visitors daily. The crew also consists of file servers whose jobs are to make older videos available on irc. HDP recruits rippers from all over the world, who have experience in video editing and passion for the music. In the past, there have been lots of member changes, but HDP's current lineup is very stable. The rippers in the crew have satellite feeds and receive a wide variety of music channels and have recently switched from encoding in MPEG/MPEG2 to XViD (MPEG4) due to its higher quality. Throughout the years, HDP has released around 5,200 music videos amounting to about 410GB. Music videos on the net have become a source for people to discover metal artists they probably would have never seen/heard of on their local MV channels or radio stations, since most of them focus mainly on hip hop and pop music, which is why HDP is doing what it does.All HDP members give the bands we love our support by buying their albums, DVDs,merchandise and assisting concerts, we also urge all of our visitors to do the same; we do not support piracy! We hope you enjoy HDP's music video releases and continue to support the bands that are posted on the site (your favorite bands as well) by buying their CDs, DVDs, merchandise, etc… as mentioned above.
