Sounds Like
a rock band who is probably not indie enough for you. But they're totally indie. Just not how you're thinking of indie. Different, but familiar. Like the touch of a woman.
Power chords and melody have always been a rock music staple, and the QC's own Head Held High feels very comfortable giving the audience plenty of it. Since slimming down to a trio, the band has explored a straight ahead style that will leave you wanting more from their extensive catalog of original music. Head Held High's debut full length CD, "Moments That Make Us," is a must listen for any rock music fan, local or otherwise. It's songwriting, performance, production, and attention to detail make it a joy to listen to. They've been classified as alt. rock, pop rock, and even "muscular emo," but the band doesn't need sub genres to stand out. You'll hear all kinds of influences from nerd rock to pop rock to hard rock and beyond. If you enjoy good songs, you will want to see them again and again. There's a wistful romanticism that cannot be compared to anyone else. Head Held High isn't reinventing rock music, they're playing it how they feel rock music should be played, sincerely.

Good tunes, and thanks for the deal. I'm going with Ampeg cabs, found a 15 and a 410, so with the line 6 should give killer tone. I'll be in touch---we should do a show together at the Picador in Iowa City
yep, we are also just waiting for our deal to be over and then we will make our own label, after all we make everything by our own and the label doesn't do anything for us, except putting their name on the cd ;]
We had to make twitter, our label "said" that it's a great idea...but you know what i mean;) The idea is good but at the same time it creeps us, who knows who is following you...it could be some sexy chick but it could be some sexy chick's boyfriend ;]
