THE KNOCK ON EFFECT......
With the climate of todays fast food music industry its easy to be bogged down in the saturation of cloned run-of-the-mill-pop-indie-rock, and hard to keep up with anew upcoming bands. But there's always one original outfit who particularly stand out from the rest. The diamond in the rough.......
HEADKNOCKER is Ren (vocals), G Easy (guitar), Patrice (bass) and T-Bo (drums). They are 4 piece band based in the UK and France. Formed in 2004 by Renn, the original band seperated, which left Renn with a bunch of self penned/produced songs and a quest to re-ignite the HK flame again.....
So in 2007 Renn and G Easy were united thru fate. These two talented musicians met in a London Guitar store where G was working at the time. French born guitarist G mentioned that he had come to London from France to pursue his dream of finding a good band. Renn, buying a guitar at the time was given an impressive demonstration by G on a particular model on how it should sound when played properly. A guitar was sold, they talked music, movies, smoking, girls etc, after an exchange of numbers, they started hanging out and so began the all night smokey jam sessions down in their friend Alex's basement.

London born singer/songwriter Ren, with his raspy-smooth vocal tones, has worked alongside artists such as Bassment Jaxx, Jamiroquai, Anastasia, The Fun Loving Criminals and The Urban Soul Orchestra. With his ability to write catchy melodies with colourful charismatic lyrics, accompanied by the orchestration of G Easy's rich, infectious guitar style, these late night jams soon evolved into them writing, producing and performing original material for the Headknocker debut album. The unique melt of rock, rap, reggae and blues is what makes headknocker stand-out from the rest. All their influences - from Hendrix to Beasty Boys, Queen of the stone Age to the Red Hot Chili Peppers (to name a few!) - spread evenly in one melodic rizla, and now, ready to burn!.............
So, finally after spending a year or 2 writing in the basement, the boys emerged with an album demo of good popular songs. They headhunted 2 other fine musicians who were G's friends in france, Patrice and T-Bo. All four plugged in..... rolled up....and rolled out........

The band have played in various venues across the UK and France to much critical acclaim. They opened up the big stage at the 3 day 'Musique en Stock' festival in Cluses, which Tricky was headlining, and the band went down a storm. More festivals are being booked for 2010 due to the public feedback Headknocker have recieved..........
The band have been selling out of their limited Edition EP 'The Knock On Effect' at gigs and now have a steady growing fanbase, especially in France where their love and appreciation keeps growing and growing........
Headknocker is a name you'll remember with songs you'll never forget.....
