Head Mic is a two piece instrumental band comprised of Synthesizer, Bass and Drums.
The sound is that of dreamy ambience with a swirling psychedelic twist. Head Mic considers themselves a two piece rock band at heart as there is no sequencing or programming used to create their live sound. The drummer, Terry Driescher, plays an acoustic drum kit and triggers synth sounds from a home made trigger device. The bassist, Bart Applewhite, plays fretless bass and keyboards with his feet on an organ pedal style midi controller. This setup makes for a unique live show with a full and fluid sound emanating from just two musicians.
