BOTH REVIEWS COURTESY OF 24/7 MAGAZINE

"Magnificent...a timeless melancholy masterpiece" - The Fly

"inspired by the darker side of the street, the one Will Oldham lives on, and where Nick Cave wrote The Boatman's Call" - Americana UK

"Drawing inspration from those maverick, musicians - Nick cave, Neil Young, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen and Bonnie Prince Billy - creators of intelligent, timeless music - James Macgregor has emerged with his own original, timeless sound. --Clare Robinson - The Herald

"They create simple, stripped down music, melancholy songs akin to Will Oldham aka Bonnie Prince Billy, Tindersticks, Nick Cave or Neil Young......songs are immersed in a bath of Americana and Alt-Country with a sad undertone, a fine debut" --Rootstime Magazine

"It's better than Bon Iver" -- Tasty Fanzine

"The Magnetic South is nothing short of magnificent. Showcasing MacGregor's breathtakingly beautiful songwriting talents to the full, this mini album is quite simply one of the finest CD's you'll hear all year" -- GO2 Magazine

Neil Rose 'Wilbur Whateley/Psychopomps' LP
Gatefold Sleeve, Printed Inner, 180gm Black 12" Vinyl.
Limited to 250 copies only!

AVAILABLE TO PRE-ORDER NOW! WITH FREE IMMEDIATE DOWNLOAD!

"Neil Rose's debut album maintains a core feeling of oppression and unease layered with moments of bliss, skillfully achieved through doom laden, minimalist sound and creeping drones." TAPC

Based in Plymouth, UK, electroacoustic composer Neil Rose delivers a concept album that is absorbed and intertwined with the dark and twisted work of HP Lovecraft. It is dark and brooding and, at times, yields results no recording should produce.

Release Date 26th October 2009. Pre-order with immediate download from www.onec.tv
