Head of the Taurus ist eine tonnenschwere Kombo aus Göttingen/Kassel, die ihre Wurzeln im Bereich Metal hat. Doch wer dabei an brutal schnelles Geprügel denkt, liegt völlig falsch.
Die Songs von Tim (Schlagzeug), Henner (Gitarre) und Thomas (Bass) sind langsam, schwer und brachial. Die drei Jungs leben ihre Leidenschaft für instrumentale, schwere und meditative Musik aus und bedienen sich dabei aus den Schubladen Sludge, Stoner- und Post-Rock sowie Doom Metal.
Die daraus entstehende Sound-Dampfwalze zieht einen hypnotisch in den Bann, verheißt dabei auch immer mal wieder durch ruhige Melodien die Ruhe nach dem Sturm. Doch dieser wird erst einmal gewaltig toben.
Head of the Taurus is a seriously heavy three-piece from Göttingen/Kassel (Germany). Even though they are definitely rooted in the field of metal, you would be mislead to expect fast and brutal bashing.
Tim (drums), Henner (guitar) and Thomas (bass) play songs, that are slow, heavy and brute. The guys live out their passion for instrumental, heavy and meditative music and integrate elements of Sludge- / Stoner- / Postrock and Doom Metal. The resulting bulldozer-like wall of sound is hypnotizing – and even if quiet melodic parts allow a premonition of serenity from time to time, you will not be released until this storm has excessively raged.

Sounds cool! It was my plan to go to the Denovali Swingfest because I also love Fall Of Efrfa, Omega Massif, Kodiak and Blueneck. But my plan for that date was to put a show up with Amenra, but the venue cancelled the show 8 days before and then it was to late to get tickets to the Swingfest. But of course if there play suce a great line up in germany again, then I will be there for sure (:
danke für*s Lob freut uns sehr! :) Müssen das jetzt nächstes Jahr mal auf die Reihe kriegen und einen Gig zusammen spielen! Irgendwie hat das mit Utopia2 ja nicht geklappt...
freut mich, dass es geil geworden ist. waren reichlich leute anwesend? joah...bei uns tut sich viel. war ein anstrengendes probewochenende. kommende woche dann die show am doom over vienna. und das mit nem komplett neuen cellisten. müssen da halt noch viel an den arrangements etc arbeiten, aber er spielt eh nur bei 3-4 nummer. sollte sich eigentlich alles ausgehen. ansonsten...krank fühl ich mich. hannes und becca ebenfalls. wir sollten schauen wieder fit zu werden bis samstag.
