HEADSPACE.. is a British rock band consisting of Adam Wakeman (keyboards), Damian Wilson (vocals), Pete Rinaldi (guitar), Richard Brook (drums) and bassist Lee Pomeroy. The first release, an ep entitled "I am..." coincided with the opening slots on Ozzy Osbourne's European leg of the Black Rain tour in 2007.

The HEADSPACE debut album 'I Am Anonymous' is due for release in May 2012 and is tipped to be one of the hot progressive albums of the year.

BIOGRAPHY...SORT OF...

HEADSPACE began innocently enough; as a way for a close circle of musician friends to reconnect. There were no preconceptions of launching a prog metal band, and certainly no visions of grandeur.

"We didn't really have any idea of where we were going with it," says Wakeman. "We just did it purely to be together. We've been friends for a long time, so our thinking was that if we were going to get involved in a project, why not do it with our mates, the way you do when you're 15 or 16 years old. I think the idea when we got together was to not try and do something or be something. It was more a case of 'Let's get together and see what happens, and we'll follow the music in the direction it takes us.' It became clear quite quickly when we started playing with song ideas that it was going to be a prog band. I don't know who we were kidding (laughs)."

In 2007 HEADSPACE released the EP 'I Am'. They played a few (2 to be precise) shows and then decided that they could play Wembley as support for Ozzy. In the five years after these shows they wrote and recorded the album that will be out on May 21st 2012 'I Am Anonymous'.

The title of the album 'I am anonymous' has the finger pointed directly at the listener. This is about you and your relationship with humanity, ultimately the battles fought within the mind from child to man. Through Kubler Ross' model of impending death, with reference to war, the turmoil leads us to peace and acceptance... only then to swing straight back round to chaos.

Richard is originally from Scotland and moved to London in 1995 to pursue music. He has performed and recorded with a wide range of artists over the years. He met Adam, Lee and Damian filling in for Tony Fernandez on a Rick Wakeman gig and HEADSPACE was born.
