Heartbreak Cru - The Story
it is always the same story and its up to you if you just hear some music or you love the music that you hear. these guys love the music for real. first of all, they used to be dj..s since the early 90's. starting with hip hop and dance tracks like " pump up the volume " from marrs or " the message " from legendary grandmaster flash and the furious five. also new at this time were some original digital jamaican dancehall tunes like sly and robbie for example. they got in touch with a new kind of clubculture. after digging and collecting their own vinyl and getting some practice on that wheels of steel the whole thing became more and more busy. meanwhile they organized some really dope parties and earned lots of respect from the audience. the following next 5 years fully loaded with hip hop, reggae and other dance music shaped their musically roots. but you know, everything changes. a new style from chicago called house music was getting bigger and bigger. colognes legendary electronic underground club named " warehouse " was playing house music the whole night. hip hop was getting more and more a gangster thing at that time and the people who like to dance switched to these house parties. the same way like these three nerds musically used to do. more than 5 years they played gigs all over europe and did some resident jobs around the cologne area before history takes place. in the same city where very famous sound pioneers like can, tangerine dream or stockhausen were creating their very own definition of electronic music, a new radiostation with an experimental new radiostyle starts, in order to kick all the heavy rotation top twenty stations.
"evosonic radio", the first electronic music d.j. radio was born. 24 hours nonstop electronic music in the mix. believe it or not, these guys did more than 8 different radio shows from the very first day to the last sadly minutes. do you remember "disco dynamite", "evox - the weekend show", "sleep disorder", "sports of soul", "evopool update" or that nicely, soulteasing "mindtrip" ? yes, all these shows are invented, shaped or hosted by them. no question. worldwide, the audience was getting mad about this legendary radiostation. at least " evosonic " becomes really famous. nominated for the " german dance award " in the category " best media " it seemed like nothing can stop them. and guess what?
"evosonic radio" won that award. sad but true, evosonic died a few weeks before and radio won..t be the same no more. maximum respect to all evosonic listeners. you..re blessed. everlasting love to the original evosonic crew. "evosonic radio" rest in peace. anyway, music is still alive and every new morning you listen, you feel the magic mood of music again. in order to catch that spirit, they invented the heartbreak hotel studio in cologne. today, music still is important to these three dudes and they start producing their own tunes. and of course, they spin a lot of records like in the good old days. and yes, they also celebrating their devine parties all the time. and for sure you know, you are everytime seriously invited, to enjoy that blessed funky bunch in a hot damn session. but at least, radio business comes back in full effect.
