Our mission - To recognize and honor filmmakers whose work explores the human journey by artistically expressing hope and respect for the postive values of life - sets us apart from other festivals and ultimately narrows the field when it comes to the films we present.
To films and filmmakers who'd like to add Heartland as a friend: We're forced to be selective when it comes to the films we "friend," as we must be confident that the story and message of the film adheres to or aligns with our mission.
