In a time when music is dominated by dance music and pop rock, Heartless Vendetta have brought a raw brand of rock & roll crashing back into the world. With Sean Harvey and Christian McGuire firing out crunching guitar riffs, bassist Matt McIlroy and drummer Michael Chikan making up a very flexible rhythm section, keeping the music loose and powerful. Sean Harvey's strong vocal lines add the final layer that completes Heartless Vendetta's bombastic rock sound.
Forming in late-2005, Heartless Vendetta has wasted no time causing a stir in the Melbourne rock scene. In the three short years they have been together, Heartless Vendetta have released a two EP’s, toured Australia and supported many of the better Australian bands such as Grinspoon, Thirsty Merc, The Screaming Jets, The Androids, Kisschasy, The Donnas, The Getaway Plan, Something With Numbers, Angelas Dish and Shannon Noll.
Heartless Vendetta released their first EP in 2006, which received excellent reviews and sold several hundred copies at their live shows. “Burnt Out”, a track off their first EP was picked up by Carl Gardiner at Mushroom Marketing and ended up being included on an Ondomusic/Mushroom “Safe Sex” Compilation alongside bands such as Youth Group, Josh Pyke and The Hot Lies An ever-growing following has been built with their numerous live shows, fusing their prominent rock sound with electric and charismatic stage presence.
Heartless Vendetta has now started recording their debut full-length album with producer Matthew D’Arcy (A&R BNM Records). Blending a very popular music style with an exciting guitar driven edge, this album promises to even further propel Heartless Vendetta into the eyes of rock music fans on a national scale.
So rest assured that rock ‘n’ roll is alive and well and that Heartless Vendetta will stop at nothing to bring their mix of melodic rock to the foreground of the Australian rock music scene.
We are officially announcing that Mass Burial has booked album recordings in Production Avenue studios in Sydney, which will commence on 21st of December 2009.
The producer will be none less than Lachlan Mitchell, who earned world wide fame by producing internationally acclaimed masterpiece albums for Sydney industrial/death metal giants The Amenta and legendary Australian black metal pioneers Nazxul.
