Aight, though all my friends live in northern macon as well. It's really only about a 6 or 7 minute drive down riverside drive (parallels the interstate) so maybe it wont matter.
How about I make a design for the flyer and send it to you guys? Think you could just get it printed then? I don't have ANY cash at the moment, just got a new job Saturday.
Hah, just read all that shit. Ryan's stressed about all this, which is probably why he's so testy, but still. As an outside observer, I didn't think you guys were 'Talking Back' with your messages. And yeah, I'd expect to get paid more than gas money paying a show. They need to learn how to start making a big enough profit on their shows so that they -can- get their own facilities and not have to pay so much out of pocket when they do these big shows. That way, they can still pay the bands. As a regular 'customer' as it were, I can vouch for the fact that charging one or two extra dollars to what they do now would probably NOT have a big impact on the numbers of people comin to the shows. But oh well.
I dunno what time the show ends. My only concern is that I live in north macon, whereas most of the out-of-town people comin' for the show are comin from like Warner Robins and Byron, south. They may not want to drive up to my place. But I'll see about maybe makin some cheap lil flyers with directions and shit to hand out, see if we can get a crowd. Definitely find out from another band or two about playin with you guys.
Garage, closed in. Kinda small, I'm afraid. But there's an outside access door on the front of the house that could be left open for people to go in and out as they wished. I'd probably grab some drinks to sell to people, since I won't exactly be charging kids to get in.
And yeah, I asked my mom. She wasn't too thrilled about the idea, but I think she'd go for it under a few conditions: Our neighbors are chill with it (ugh,) You promise not to break anything, and no booze, pot, or anything else (except cigs of course) shows up.
