2010 feierte der Dreier sein 25-jähriges Jubiläum seit der Veröffentlichung des ersten Albums im Jahr 1985, „Soldier’s Gun“. Der Titeltrack wurde zu einem Hit; STAGE DOLLS erhielten eine Nominierung für den Musikpreis „Spellemannprisen“. Das Trio spielte sehr viel live; und seitdem gehört die Band zu den in Norwegen am stärksten live präsentesten Formationen überhaupt. Ein Jahr nach ihrem Debüt erschien mit „Commandos“ das Nachfolgewerk, auf dem Steinar Krokstad erstmals am Schlagzeug zu hören war, bevor „Stage Dolls“ 1988 in die Läden kam. Beide Alben erschienen nun auch in den USA und enthielten die Stücke "Wings Of Steel", "Still In Love" und "Love Cries" – Klassiker des Melodic Rock bis heute. Um das neue Material zu pushen, tourten die STAGE DOLLS wiederum intensiv und spielten dieses Mal nicht nur in Norwegen, sondern auch im Rest Europas und den USA, u.a. gemeinsam mit WARRANT, MAGNUM, FISH und BLUE MURDER. 1989 erreichte das Stück „Love Cries“ #46 in den Top 100 Billboard Charts – STAGE DOLLS waren somit erst der zweite norwegische Act, der es in den USA nach a-ha in die Hitliste geschafft hatte. Der Hit „Love Don’t Bother Me“ stammt von dem Album „Stripped“, welches 1991 erschien und in einer Europa-Tournee mit MR BIG resultierte. 1993 stieg mit Morten Skogstad ein neuer Schlagzeuger bei den STAGE DOLLS ein, und mit „Stories We Could Tell“ brachte die Band eine Compilation-CD heraus. Während der 90er Jahre veröffentlichten die Norweger nicht viel Material, aber – wie nur wenige andere Bands – blieben sie stets auf den Bühnen, vor allem denen Norwegens, präsent. Flakne widmete sich ebenso dem Song-Writing und schrieb u.a. Lieder für Morten Harket (a-ha), bevor dann 1997 mit „Dig“ das fünfte Album der Band fertiggestellt wurde. Im Spätjahr 2002 stand mit “Good Times – The Essential Stage Dolls” eine weitere Compilation in den Regalen; das Comeback der Band in Norwegens Top 20, wo sich das Album im Jahr 2003 insgesamt 12 Wochen platzierte und als höchste Position #2 erreichte. Ihren 20-jährigen Geburtstag begingen die Skandinavier mit der Veröffentlichung des Live-Werks „Get A Live“, dem 2004 das von der Presse hochgelobte Werk „Get A Life“ folgte. Im September 2010 erschien mit "Always" das noch aktuelle Album des Trios, welches zu den Highlights im Bandkatalog zählt!!!

2010 they released their seventh studio album. The title "Always" underlines that this is a band you always can trust. And simultaneously with the release, the band can mark the 25th anniversary of their debut album, "Soldier's Gun". Their story begins when guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Torstein Flakne is out of work after The Kids' short – but hectic and successful – career is over in 1982. Two years later, Flakne has recruited bass player Terje Storli and drummer Erlend Antonsen, and Stage Dolls feature both on the TV show "Zikk Zakk" and as TNT's warm-up act. And all this happens before the band's first album has been released. 1985 is the year when Stage Dolls release "Soldier's Gun", get a hit with the title track and get a nomination for the music award Spellemannprisen. The trio also plays a lot live, and soon they are one of the country's hardest touring bands – a position Stage Dolls have occupied ever since. The year after they follow up their debut is followed with "Commandos", which features Steinar Krokstad as the new drummer. Stage Dolls now get their first international contract, as the record also is released in the US. Third album "Stage Dolls" (1988) is also internationally launched, and with songs like "Wings Of Steel", "Still In Love" and "Love Cries", the record remains one of the true classics in melodic rock. In the aftermath of their eponymous album, Stage Dolls tour a lot, both in Norway, the rest of Europe and in America (along with Warrant and Blue Murder). In Europe, they tour with Magnum and Fish. In 1989, "Love Cries" reaches number 46 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, which means that Stage Dolls is only the second Norwegian act (after a-ha) to chart in the US. Fourth album "Stripped" (1991) gives the boys another hit, "Love Don't Bother Me", and again Stage Dolls tour a lot, including a European tour with Mr. Big. The band also continue playing all over Norway – there's hardly a stage here that the boys haven't stood on. In 1993, Stage Dolls sum up their career by releasing a compilation album, "Stories We Could Tell", and hire a new drummer, Morten Skogstad. Stage Dolls didn't release much music during the nineties, but unlike many other bands, Stage Dolls have never disbanded, and as a live band the boys have been active all the time. Flakne also spent the nineties writing songs for other artists, among them Morten Harket. In 1997, Stage Dolls released their fifth album, "Dig". Late in 2002, the compilation "Good Times - The Essential Stage Dolls" is released. It's Stage Dolls' comeback on the Norwegian Top 20, where the album spends 12 weeks in 2003 and reaches number 2. A very successful tour follows, where Stage Dolls mark their 20th anniversary, resulting in the live album "Get A Live". Soon the boys also return to the studio, to record "Get A Life", and their first studio album in seven years gets great reviews in 2004. Life on the road has been almost endless for Stage Dolls, but between concerts the boys have found the time to visit Nidaros Studio – where they made their earlier records – and the result is their new album, "Always". Torstein Flakne co-produced it with Ronny Wikmark, who also mixed it with Stage Dolls' former producer, Bjørn Nessjø. The American back-up singers from their success album "Stage Dolls" are also featured, so everything suggests a classic Stage Dolls album.

KEEL schlugen 1985 mit ihren zweiten Album "The Right To Rock" wie eine Bombe in der US Hardrock Szene ein. Produziert von KISS Mastermind Gene Simmons war es da am schnellsten verkaufte Debütalbum auf dem Majorlabel A&M Records (das erste Album erschien auf einem Indie Label). KEEL verkauften über 2 Millionen Alben und erspielten sich schnell den Ruf als unglaublicher Liveact, welchen sie auf Tourneen mit Bands wie BON JOVI, AEROSMITH, VAN HALEN, MÖTLEY CRÜE uvm untermauerten. In Deutschland gab es die Band leider nur im Vorprogramm von DIO 1986 zu sehen. Ihre Videos zu den Songs "Because The Night", "Tears Of Fire", Somebody's Waiting" oder natürlich "The Right To Rock" waren auf dem damaligen Musiksender MTV auf Dauerrotation. In den harten Neunzigern löste sich die Band auf und kehrte erst 2009 wieder auf der Bildfläche auf, als man auf diversen US Festivals, u.a. dem ROCKLAHOMA FESTIVAL, auftrat. Mit "Streets Of Rock'n Roll", dem Comeback Album von 2010, lieferten die Jungs um Frontman und Namensgeber Ron Keel eines ihrer besten Album ab.

KEEL first exploded onto the scene when "The Right To Rock," their major label debut produced by Gene Simmons of KISS, became the fastest-selling debut album in A&M Records' history. KEEL has sold over 2 million albums, garnering a reputation as one of the genre's most entertaining live acts by touring with/opening for Bon Jovi, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, and many more. They were unanimously hailed as 1985's "Best New Band" in publications such as Circus, Metal Edge, and Hit Parader, and released three charting albums which spawned radio & MTV hits such as "Because The Night," "Tears Of Fire," "Somebody's Waiting," and of course "The Right To Rock." Der Aufstieg von Shakra geht ungebremst weiter, es macht den Anschein, als ob Nichts und Niemand die erfolgreichen Schweizer Melodic-Hardrocker stoppen könnte. Während die letzte CD „Everest“ auf Platz 4 in die Schweizer Verkaufscharts eingetreten ist, stehen die Zeichen mehr als gut, dass dies mit „Back On Track“pulverisiert werden kann. Zu eingängig sind die 13 neuen Titel, zu knackig die Produktion, zu variabel und gefühlvoll der Gesang von John Prakesh. Shakra sind zurück – stärker denn je. „Back On Track“ sind sie also, die erfolgreichen melodischen Rocker von Shakra. Zurück in der Spur von Ehrlichkeit, Authentizität und Gradlinigkeit. Nachdem sich ex-Sänger Mark Fox unter Getöse von der Band verabschiedet hat, darf der Zuzug von John Prakesh als wahrer Glücksfall angesehen werden. Bereits sein erster Auftritt als Shakra-Frontmann war von Erfolg gekrönt: seine Version der Hit-Single „Why“ belegte Platz 3 in der Sendung „Die Grössten Schweizer Hits“ auf SF! - Und auch seine Live-Premiere im Z7 in Pratteln und die nachfolgende Mini-Tournee war eine reine Stimm-Feier. Dass Prakesh aber im Studio noch mehr an Variabilität und Gefühl zeigen konnte als live, darf dann doch als grosse und sehr erfreuliche Überraschung angesehen werden! Mit ihrem 8. Studioalbum sind sich SHAKRA vor allem in einer Hinsicht treu geblieben. Der unglaubli-che hohe Standard der erfolgreichen Vorgänger-Alben wird locker nochmals übertroffen. Der glasklare, warme und dennoch kraftvolle Sound, wie seit der ersten Shakra-Platte von Gitarrist Thom Blunier im eigenen Powerride-Studio grandios produziert, die unglaublich tighten Riffs, die Gnadenlosigkeit und Präzision der Rhythmusfraktion und last but not least der neue, indischstämmige (Ost-) Schweizer Sänger John Prakesh mit einer Variabilität in seiner Stimme, die es Shakra vielleicht zum ersten Mal möglich machen, ein ganz, ganz breites Publikum für sich zu gewinnen. Aber auch die alten Trademarks sind geblieben: So zum Beispiel beim Opener „B True B You“: ein Götter-Riff macht diesen Titel zur absoluten Abgeh-Nummer, oder der Song „Crazy“: ein straighter Shakra-Rocker mit einem supereingängigen Refrain, ein Mitgröhl-Stampfer der ersten Güte. Der Titelsong „Back On Track“ zeigt John als Extra-Klasse-Shouter und geht voll in die Magengrube und die Nummern „Yesterday's Gone“ und „Stronger Than Ever“ beweisen einmal mehr, welche grossartig catchy Songs Shakra schreiben und produzieren können. Last but not least kommt "When I See You" als erste Single auf den Markt. Er überzeugt mit einem unschlagbaren Wiedererkennungswert und einer unglaublich berührenden positiven Leichtigkeit. Ein Hit! Keine Frage: Shakra are back- “Back On Track”!

The rise of SHAKRA continues without deceleration. It seems like nothing and nobody can stop the successful Swiss hard rockers. While the last album “Everest” opened on #4 spot of the Swiss charts chances are more than good to top that this time. The 13 new songs are just too catchy, the production is too tight, the vocals of John Prakesh are just too varied and emotional. SHAKRA is back – stronger than ever. So „Back On Track” they are, the successful hard rockers of SHAKRA. Back on track of honesty, authenticity and straightforwardness. After ex-vocalist Mark Fox left the band, the hiring of John Prakesh was the best that could possibly happen. His first gig as SHAKRA fronter has already been a complete success: his version of the hit-single “Why” reached a sensational 3rd place in the Swiss TV show “The biggest Swiss Hits” – And also his live debut and the following mini-tour have been a celebration of his singing. More surprising was the fact that Prakesh was able to put even more variety and emotion into the vocals for the recording of the new album! The songs “Yesterday’s Gone” and “Stronger Than Ever” prove once again that Shakra just know how to write and produce greatly catchy songs. Last but not least “When I See You“ will be out as the first single. Incredibly recognizable and amazingly touching positive attitude. A hit! No doubt: Shakra are back – “Back On Track”!

Die mit Sicherheit in diesem Musikbereich außergewöhnliche Musikbesetzung, Gitarre/ Bass/ Drums/Vocals/Keyboards & Saxophone, verleiht der Formation eine gewisse Extravaganz. Im Jahr 2004 fanden sich Drummer Tommy Strobel (Subway), Sänger Thomas Seeburger, Gitarrist Ingolf Engler und Keyboarder Zarko Mestrovic zusammen, mit einem gemeinsamen Ziel: `Pure Rock`. Im Herbst 2005 komplettierten Markus Ratheiser (Glenmore) am Bass und Boris Matakovic (Subway) am Saxofon die Band. Das umjubelte Erstlingswerk `Precious Time` (2006) erstaunte die Fachpresse wie auch das Publikum vielerorts. HUMAN ZOO wurde beim Publikumsvoting der Rockzeitschrift Rock It! zum „Newcomer des Jahres 2006“ gewählt. Das Zweitwerk "Over The Horizon" erschien 2007 und konnte durch zahleiche Liveshows und Festivals (u.a. ROCK FOR NATURE, ROCK OF AGES, UNITED FORCES OF ROCK, H.E.A.T FESTIVAL) einem größeren Publikum vorgestellt werden. Nach einem Wechsel auf der Drummer Position (Kevin Klimesch ersetzte Tommy Strobel) und fast 4 Jahren Pause, sind die Jungs wieder da. Das neue Album "Eyes Of A Stranger" erscheint am 14. Mai.

In Autumn 2005 Markus Ratheiser (Glenmore) on the bass and Boris Matakovic (Subway) on the saxophone completed the ban The highly celebrated debut feature `Precious Time` (2006) astonished the press as well as the public in many places. HUMAN ZOO was elected as “Newcomer of the year 2006” in German magazine Rock It!. The second album "Over The Horizon" was released in 2007 and the band could play many shows and festivals (ROCK FOR NATURE, ROCK OF AGES, UNITED FORCES OF ROCK, H.E.A.T FESTIVAL) to promote the album. Now, 4 years later and with a new drummer (Kevin Klimesch replaced Tommy Strobel) they are back with a new Album called "Eyes Of A Stranger"! The album will be released May 14th!

Angeführt wird die Band vom charismatischen Frontmann Jules Millis, Bassist Trent Wilson und dem Gitarrenvirtuosen Enzo Almanzi. Von Beginn an wurde das Ziel verfolgt, 80er Jahre Arena-Rock mit Einflüssen aus den Bereichen Melodic Rock und AOR zu schreiben und zu spielen – inspiriert von Künstlern wie White Sister, Survivor, Treat, Dokken, Aviator, Bon Jovi und Australiens Vorzeigeband Roxus. Nach den ersten Proben wurde deutlich, dass der Sound, den WHITE WIDDOW spielen wollten, einen permanenten Keyboarder erforderte. Jules schlug daraufhin seinen Bruder Xavier Millis, einen zweifachen Gewinner des ARIA Awards (Australian Record Industry Award) vor – einen vielseitigen, versierten Tastendrücker. Jim Naish komplettierte das Line-Up letztendlich am Schlagzeug. Schnell könnten sich WHITE WIDDOW als eine starke Liveband in der Rockszene Melbournes und Australiens etablieren. Mitte 2009 veröffentlichten sie dann ihre erste EP, die gratis als digitaler Download erschien und wohlwollende Presse erhielt. Mit ihrem selbstbetitelten Debütalbum wurde die Vision von WHITE WIDDOW Realität. Ohne auch nur einen Gedanken an moderne Rocktrends zu verschwenden, folgten die Australier ihren Herzen und schreiben sich stolz die Einflüsse der 80er Jahre auf ihre Fahne. Gemischt und gemastert von Martin Kronlund (Overland, Joe Lynn Turner, Hammerfall, Bangalore Choir) in den JM Studios in Sweden, veröffentlicht die Band ein Album voller Melodic Rock- und AOR-Hymen mit wirbelnden Keyboards, knackigen Gitarren und großen Chorussen mit starken Hooks. Also genau so, wie Rockmusik ihrer Meinung nach klingen sollte.

Hailing from Melbourne Australia, White Widdow was formed in 2008 by charismatic front man Jules Millis along with Bassist Trent Wilson and Guitar virtuoso Enzo Almanzi. From its inception the vision was always to write and perform 80’s Arena style Melodic Rock and Hard Edged AOR inspired by artists such as White Sister , Survivor, Treat, Dokken, Aviator, Bon Jovi and Australia’s own Roxus. After initial sessions it was clear to them that to fulfill the sound they wanted, they would require a full time keyboard player. Jules immediately enlisted the help of his brother Xavier Millis on the keyboards, a two time ARIA (Australian Record Industry Award) nominee and a well versed keyboard player in many musical styles. With Xavier onboard, the writing team was in place and the line-up was then completed with Jim Naish on drums. Starting out playing live amongst the diverse Melbourne Rock scene, White Widdow quickly established themselves as a solid live unit throughout their native Australia. In mid 2009 White Widdow recorded and released their free digital only EP which was very well received in selected press. With their debut Self Titled album, the full vision of White Widdow has become a reality. With absolutely no concerns about modern rock trends the band has followed their hearts and proudly wear their 80’s influences on their sleeves . Mixed and Mastered by Martin Kronlund (Overland, Joe Lynn Turner, Hammerfall, Bangalore Choir) at JM Studios in Sweden, White Widdow have put together an album full of Melodic Rock and AOR anthems filled with swirling keyboards, blistering guitar playing and big choruses full of hooks, the way they believe rock music should be.

Die neue Generation des Melodic Rock! SERPENTINE waren ursprünglich das Baby von Keyboarder Gareth David Noon, Gitarrist Christopher Gould und Bassist Gareth Van Stone. Ihr Bandname stammt aus dem Bereich der Mythen und Sagen, welche bis heute überliefert wurden. In ähnlicher Art und Weise hat auch ihr musikalischer Stil bereits einige Dekaden überlebt. Nach ausgedehnten Studiosessions und intensivem Feilen am Songmaterial stieß zunächst der amerikanische KAMERA-Sänger Greg Flores zu SERPENTINE. Drei Monate später erweckten ihre Aufnahmen das Interesse des Produzenten Chris Steinmetz (Survivor, White Lion, Styx and Honeymoon Suite). Dennoch führte die große Distanz zu einem Sänger aus den USA zur Suche nach einem neuen Mann für den Job am Mikro und der legendäre SHY- und TNT-Sänger Tony Mills stieg bei SERPENTINE ein. Im letzten Sommer wurde mit Gitarrist John Clews und Schlagzeuger Charlie Skeggs das Line-Up komplettiert, und die Produktion mit Mark V Stuart (Magnum) und Sheena Sear in den M2 Studios in Wolverhampton begann.

The new generation of melodic rock has arrived !! SERPENTINE was originally founded around award winning keyboard maestro, driving force and songwriter Gareth David Noon; lion-maned guitarist Christopher Gould and bassist Gareth Van Stone. Drawing their name from the mythical creatures and legends whose lore was passed down through the ages, their quest was to acquaint their peers with a genre of music that still resonates down the decades. The trio spent a lot of their time in the studio, working constantly to develop their songs into demos that would showcase the band’s true talent. It was while making these demo’s that the band decided to complement the group with the experienced American vocalist Greg Flores, whose work they had heard via his previous band - the highly rated Kamera. Three short months later the fledgling recordings piqued the interest of Producer Chris Steinmetz whose credentials include Survivor, White Lion, Styx and Honeymoon Suite to name but a few. The initial results gained the band a great deal of interest, ultimately however working with a singer based in the US proved difficult and the quest for a new vocalist began. Enter the legendary Tony Mills of SHY and TNT fame . Last Summer the group, having recruited the last pieces of the jigsaw in the shape of the prodigiously talented guitarist/vocalist John Clews and a drummer who can only be described as Keith Moon’s lost love-child - Charlie Skeggs, de-camped to M2 Studios in Wolverhampton. There under the guiding hand of Producer Mark V Stuart ( whose work with Magnum is well known ) together with whizz-kid Sheena Sear they produced a record that in October 2009 got the band signed to a worldwide deal with the German based AOR Heaven label.
