Heathen Hoof started as a project band in 2002 by Ari Honkonen (who also played in Morningstar & Minotauri at that time). After a few demos, the band recorded a split 7" release (Metal Coven rec.) and after changing the drummer, the band recorded their first 12" Ep, titled "The Occult Sessions" (Nuclear War Now! prod.) in 2005 with the current line-up. The band played some shows during the years, but nothing big happened, until they decided to come back from the dungeons again. This was in 2010 and the band recorded their first, full length album, titled "Rock Crusader" (Metal Warning rec.). The story goes on.. Musically, Heathen Hoof are pretty much linked to NWOBHM, but the band has several other influences as well.
