As you may have already surmised, my name is Heather and I like things that are beautiful, demented, weird, startling, and wonderful. I'm a Southern writer in my late 20's who has written a number of short stories and articles, mostly revolving around film and music. Currently, I write for both Cultcuts and Ultraviolent Magazine, in addition to the various freelancing. I grew with a steady diet of fringe cinema and the general weirdness that is the South. In addition to loving all things dark and Halloweenie, I also have a big love of books--particularly biographies and Russian/Soviet era novels, museums, art, music, old houses, tea, Italian cinema, weird sodas, thai food, sushi funky tights/socks, animals, documentaries, foreign films, Beavis & Butthead, music videos, editing, 70's game shows, and general pop culture mishmash. (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) I'm married to the most amazing and brilliant man in the world, Chuck. I'm incredibly lucky and he thinks my dementia is actually endearing!! He's a fantastic artist, writer, and videographer. His main body work includes the long running and fabulous series, "Abbey of the Lemur." He is also a very accomplished writer, editor, and publisher. I'm extremely proud of him. Almost two years ago, I began my very own TV series called "Mondo Pazzo." It's the bastard step-love child of shows like "Night Flight" and "Reel Wild Cinema." It is truly a labor of love. If you love strange movies, great music, bent humor, weird art, then this is the show for you.
