About me: My latest novel with Wings ePress, A Hidden Legacy, is out now! For more information and to read extracts, interviews and reviews, go to my website at www.heathergarside.com
I grew up on a cattle property in Central Queensland. As a child I loved horses, books and the bush, and still do.
My husband and I have a beef and grain farm not far from where I grew up. We have two young adult children.
I've been writing ever since I was about seven. At first it was poetry but I published a historical romance when I was in my early twenties. Having a family interrupted the writing flow and I didn’t seriously get back to it until many years later.
My two outback historical romances, The Cornstalk and its sequel, A Hidden Legacy, have been published by Wings ePress. Presently I’m working on a contemporary with flashbacks to the past.
As well as being a member of the Romance Writers of Australia, I belong to a local writers’ group which meets once a month. We’ve published two books of short stories which have sold well.
Aside from writing, I work at home on the farm, part time at the local library, and also do some voluntary work.
Heather, if you have time, I hope you’ll check out the book trailer for my next novel, Ramblin' Man, a quirky romantic comedy that comes out June 1. Michael
