Heather Gallagher has been performing on stage for 25 years! She started dancing at the age of 4, and has since gone on to achieve I.S.T.D Advanced examinations in tap, jazz and ballet. She joined the Mellow Dramatics in 1996 and has taken several leading roles; most recently being Annie Oakley in Annie Get Your Gun, Ann in Half a Sixpence, Gypsy Rose Lee in Gypsy and The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz. She has been having vocal tuition for 8 years and has recently attained her Diploma in Musical Theatre from the London College of Music with distinction.
After attending a part-time course at The Birmingham School of Acting, Heather spent 12 weeks in London on an intensive acting course. Here she studied voice, improvisation, screen acting, method acting and audition technique for film, t.v and commercials. She has also had private tuition in London from acting coach Irene Bradshaw and vocal coaches Jeremy Fisher( Vocal Process) and Mary King (from channel 4's Musicality and Operatunity).
Heather was most recently on the national pantomime tour of Sleeping Beauty in December 06- January 07 playing the part of Prince Vincent. She is currently touring the Midlands and North of England with her solo cabaret...details and dates to be posted shortly on the listings page..
You know it is so weird for us to have the same name and to have sang the same songs. Mine were in choir and church but they still ring through my memory. It is awesome. Your voice is so wonderful. I hope mine will be just as beautiful so that I can share it someday.
