Please take a moment to fill these out for me. Your help means a lot to me. Love, Lalita Love Survey & Grief Survey
Hello & welcome. We offer these websites (see here) because we would like for you to come, enjoy, & find a blessing that will enrich your life or somehow touch your heart - poem, quote, prayer, ecards, movies, information, or an invitation to attend one of our retreats.
My name is Lalita, & I am one of a group of friends - from all specialties of life - who believe that "God is in the sharing" (Neem Karoli Baba). I belong to a community of diverse people who all share a devoted belief in kindness, in love, & in service. We believe that all life is Divine Creation & deserves to be honored as sacred.
We would like for each being to experience the depth of their own value & also discover their own unique gifts - & to recognize their potential to assist in the healing of our world. We believe - like Jesus & Mother Teresa - that all beings deserve care, & that the greatest pain in life is a heart that feels unloved. As Mother Teresa said, "Every act of love is a work of peace, no matter how small." We pray for everyone who visits our sites, & beyond.
We have created different websites that are meant to share beauty, inspiration, hope, joy, and cool ideas with all the world. We welcome you to enjoy them.
Blessings & Love to you,
Lalita & all the Friends For Compassionate Earth Awareness

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love:
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not
So much seek to be consoled
As to console,
To be understood as to understand,
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born
to eternal life.
~St. Francis of Assisi My religion is kindness. ..His Holiness the Dalai Lama
Nonviolence is not a garment to be put on and off at will. Its seat is in the heart, and it must be an inseparable part of our very being. --Mahatma Gandhi 1948 Nonviolence is absolute commitment to the way of love. Love is not emotional bash; it is not empty sentimentalism. It is the active outpouring of one's whole being into the being of another. ~Martin Luther King, Jr. 1957 Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody,... I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty,
than the person who has nothing to eat. ~Mother Theresa A word that gives courage to a drooping heart or a smile that brings hope or cheer in the midst of gloom has as much claim as onerous sacrifices and heroic self denials. ~Meher Baba "Love is the actual form of God." - Ramana Maharshi

Waking up in the morning
I vow with all beings
to be ready for sparks of the Dharma [Natural Reality, or God]
from flowers or children or birds.
Sitting alone in zazen [meditation]
I vow with all beings
to remember I'm sitting together
with mountains, children, and bears.
Looking up at the sky
I vow with all beings
to remember this infinite ceiling
in every room of my life.
When I stroll around in the city
I vow with all beings
to notice how lichen and grasses
never give up in despair.
Watching a spider at work
I vow with all beings
to cherish the web of the universe:
touch one point and everything moves.
Preparing the garden for seeds
I vow with all beings
to nurture the soil to be fertile
each spring for the next 1000 years.
When people praise me for something
I vow with all beings
to return to my vegetable garden
and give credit where credit is due.
With tropical forests in danger
I vow with all beings
to raise hell with the people responsible
and slash my consumption of trees.
With resources scarcer and scarcer
I vow with all beings
to consider the law of proportion:
my have is another's have-not.
Watching gardeners label their plants
I vow with all beings
to practice the old horticulture
and let plants identify me.
Hearing the crickets at night
I vow with all beings
to keep my practice as simple -
just over and over again.
Falling asleep at last
I vow with all beings
to enjoy the dark and the silence
and rest in the vast unknown.

The Glory of a West Texas Thunderhead at Sunset... On his way to church, a scholar was surprised to see a man in tattered clothes and barefoot. Nevertheless, as a good Christian, he greeted the poor man: "May God give you a good morning!" The poor man replied cheerfully, "I have never yet had a bad morning."
"Then may God give you good luck!"
"I have never yet had bad luck."
"Well, may God give you happiness!"
"I have never yet been unhappy."
The scholar then asked the man, "Could you you please explain yourself to me? I do not understand."
And the poor man replied, "With pleasure! You wish me a good morning, yet I have never had a bad morning. For when I am hungry, I praise God; when I feel cold, or when it is raining or snowing, I praise God; and that is why I have never had a bad morning.
"You wish that God may give me luck. However, I have never had bad luck. This is because I live with God and always feel what he does for me is the best. Whatever God sends me, be it pleasant or unpleasant, I accept with a grateful heart. That is why I have never had bad luck.
"Finally, you wish that God should make me happy. But I have never been unhappy. For all I desire is to follow God's will; I have surrendered my will so totally to God's will that, whatever God wants, that is what I also want.
If we are peaceful, if we are happy, we can smile and blossom like a flower, and everyone in our family, our entire society, will benefit from our peace.
