Heather Myles grew up on a ranch in Riverside California where she was inspired by the music of artists like George Jones, Buck Owens and Loretta Lynn. Her family raised horses and Heather had a job in the family business until the lure of the honky-tonks called her away.
With a voice that garnered comparisons to Tammy Wynette and Patsy Cline, it wasn't long before Myles was receiving rave reviews on two continents and charming arena-sized crowds opening for acts like Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings and Ricky Skaggs. For the past decade, she has toured tirelessly, developing a rabid following among fans of real country music throughout the US, Europe and England.
Heather Myles is still proudly wearing the country flag and taking no prisoners with her new CD, In The Wind. Songs like Broke and Brokenhearted will have fans of Merle Haggard cheering in the stands, and her duet with Willie Nelson, Don’t Call Me, is proof once again, that Willie is ageless. Fiddles cry, pedal steel twangs and most of all, songs from In The Wind stick in your head and you find yourself singing them over and over.
Songs like In The Wind and Pretty Poison should make Sheryl Crow drool. My Baby's Good To Me is reminiscent of the great blues sound of Stevie Ray Vaughan, so Heather's new album has something for everyone!!
All in all, In The Wind is Heather’s best CD to date. Featuring co-producer Taras Prodaniuk (Dwight Yoakum, Lucinda Williams) on bass, Larry Mitchell and Jim Christie on drums (Dwight Yoakum, Tony Furtado, Lucinda Williams), and Bob Ryan on guitar, Heather is a modern Loretta Lynn meets Ann Wilson, with big vocals, bigger songs and a strength that admirers of great music can sink their teeth into.
Look for In The Wind to be out in early 2010…….and while you’re out there – do your friends a favor and tell them about Heather Myles. They’ll thank you!
Thanks for coming to Buffalo, NY and I'm glad to say I was the first customer for your new CD. In the Wind, Mama's A Star and your duet with Willie are my favorites but all the songs are great! I hope you had a good time at the "Sportsmen's", your singing was all any real country music lover could ask for. I know your visit to Buffalo and Niagara Falls was brief but I hope you enjoyed your visit. Everyone enjoyed your show and I hope you had a safe trip home. Right now I'm putting your new CD on the jukebox in my family room along with all your other CD's so anyone dropping by at my home can enjoy listening to them. We all hope you'll come back our way soon so we all can enjoy "REAL" country music! Bob Hanley
Hey - thanks for the Add, Heather. Really love your stuff... I see Ricky's a top friend..is he playing steel for you now? Golf's loss is our gain :-) Thanks for your music. Best wishes from the UK. HD
Very nice meeting you in Mason a few weekends back. And Linda too... what a doll she is! Got to hang out with her last weekend and Tracy was working her hiney off!! Look forward to seeing and hearing you again!
I added Heather Myles because my good friend, Guyanne McCall had Heather as a friend. Figured she HAD to be good. But lately, I've been listening to my friend Willie's XM station (XM-13, "Willie's Place") and they play a LOT of Heather Myles. That is a GOOD thing. I have always said if you don't like Country, you won't like me. Well I LOVE Heather Myles!!! She is Country as the harnass section of the Sears Catalog. You GO, Gurl!!!
