Please make your way threw the Absinthe haze, don Rose tinted spectacles, and listen to this ladies story. Born into the land that time forgot ( known as Burnley ) Heather was always day dreaming and hated school. Though singing in a choir was her release from the drudgery of everyday life she grew ever more frustrated. Heather was often in trouble for being opinionated and only really applied herself to lessons in life of some significance, ( like drama and art ) She went on to do lots of acting, gaining several medals in L.A.M.D.A and gained a National Diploma in Performing Arts before going on to a HND in Theatre practice. It was while studying she came across Burlesque a medium that would change her life. While working at the RSC in Stratford Upon Avon Heather decided to go to Paris and met some wonderful performers, when she came back to the UK she visited the London Burlesque festival. It was that summer she decided she wasn’t satisfied just watching and started to perform, By October 07 she held her very own night in called. Sweet Burlesque http://www.myspace.com/sweetburlesque Sweet Burlesque is now in it’s second year and looks like it may become an annual event. First Performing as Fanny Kisses, a typo in a text. Heather now performs under her real name. Only using fanny kisses for gay and lesbian nights. Her Sweet nature and quirky acts have made Heather a real asset to promoters.She continues to promote British Burlesque at it's finest with satirical acts embracing comedy, sexuality, fun, and a passion for life. Supporting friends she trusts in, a causes worth fighting for. And spreading the message that – LIFE IS SWEET. .. ....

Welcome to the darkest summer in the history of Birmingham burlesque, and the culprit behind this black summer? None other than Gehenna of the Silk Stocking Striptease Show. However, never fear, bringing the light to the event will be Angel LaVey of the Silk Stocking Striptease Show. Whether you want something, light and comical or dark and deviant, the 9th Silk Stocking Striptease Show will have something for you. Pick your poison, light or dark, we have it all and we guarantee to satisfy your cravings.

The Silk Stocking Striptease Show Nine will be taking place on the 8th of August 2009 at The Flapper Pub. Tickets will cost you £7.50 in advance from www.birminghamburlesque.com and will be on sale until midday on the 8th of August. You will be able to buy tickets on the door at £9 each, subject to availability. The doors to the show open at 7:30pm and the show will begin at 8:30pm.
