Heatseeker is a band that embodies the true spirit of rock 'n roll. Inspired by the likes of AC/DC, Black Sabbath Thin Lizzy and Metallica, their scorching brand of high octane, whiskey-fueled rock is a breath of fresh air amongst all the watered down, cookie cutter bands of today being passed off as rock. It's dirty. It's loud. It's raw. It's unapologetic and in your face. It's everything that rock 'n roll should be.
The seeds for the band were sown back in the fall of 2000 by guitarist/main songwriter Brendan Willem. Although Heatseeker would gig around in various incarnations over the next few years, it wasn't until the beginning of 2005 that the band had finally been solidified around the core of Willem, lead guitarist Seth City, bassist Buzz K. Hymen and drummer Murdock. After months of searching for a lead vocalist, the band looked within to Willem, whose raspy howl fit the music perfectly. With the lineup complete, Heatseeker set out to destroy all in their path, sharing the stage with all comers from Corrosion of Conformity to U.S. Bombs, Silvertide to High on Fire and Alabama Thunderpussy to Eve 6.
With a series of promising and well received demos under their belt, the band entered More Sound in Syracuse, New York to record their full length debut. Produced by Brendan Willem and Jocko, Knee Deep in Sin is an unrelenting 13 song shot of adrenaline that sees the band firing on all cylinders. Following the recording of the album, drummer Murdock bowed out and was replaced by local scene vet Pete Griffith. Heatseeker continues to leave their mark wherever, and whenever, they perform. They are a band that not only needs to be heard, but experienced.
