Burnt Rubber Blowout 2009 is an all-day-long mash-up with 10 hot rockin' rockabilly, Americana, roots and psychobilly bands, a hot-rod car show, thundering motorcycles, sultry burlesque, vendors, beer and barbeque. All for a measly $10.

Starting at 12 noon, the old cars, customs and hot rods covered in equal parts chrome and rust begin to pile in, followed by a roar of Harley Davidsons, Triumphs, Nortons and other 2 wheeled machines. They'll all be eyeing up the trophy table, featuring hand made custom creations by Joel Illch of Webber Street Studios.

Wander inside the air-conditioned comfort of The Distillery and grab the first of many beers. At 2:00pm the first band hits the stage. From smooth toe-tapping rythms to cut a rug with your baby doll, on up to revved-up rockabilly to spill beer along with. A little something for (almost) everyone. The bands just keep coming, one after another, ending the night with Sarasota's own expatriates, the Psycho Devilles. This is their first show in this area in almost a year, so you know it'll be good.

But the music and the cars aren't the only highlights. A special appearance by Central Florida's Go Cat Go Burlesque troupe will titillate and tantalize you. The Bradentucky Bombers will also be on hand in case you need to get beat up by a girl on roller skates. Vendor booths inside and out, selling wares from Punk Rock Betty, Knuckle Down Tattoo, On The Trashy Side, and more. You'll find something you can't go home without.

Beer specials from Budweiser and Pabst Blue Ribbon to help you stretch your dollar, and discount rates available at the Rodeway Inn, just a mile from the venue if you stretched your dollar just a little too far.
