GENOVA, dalla passione sfrenata di Federico (voce) per i Judas Priest scaturisce l’idea di trasmettere con una tribute band il verbo dei grandi maestri dell’Heavy Metal. Contattato Mattia (basso), i due, nell'estate del 2006, riescono a completare la formazione scovando una promettente coppia di giovani chitarre, Luca e Andrea, e infine una collaudata rockstar, Lele, alla batteria. Con questa formazione la band lavora duramente, giorno dopo giorno, per poter portare sul palco una scaletta degna dei migliori Judas Priest, andando a coprire le fasi salienti della discografia della band. Nel Dicembre 2006 avviene la prima apparizione dal vivo e i consensi portano la band a suonare in altre due occasioni nei primi mesi del 2007. Arrivata l'estate gli Heavy Duty si trovano dinanzi ad un cambio dietro le pelli: Mattia prende il posto di Lele e, grazie alla grande velocità di apprendimento del drummer, viene subito registrato il primo Demo (Breaking the Law, Painkiller, Heading Out to the Highway, Leather Rebel). All'inizio di settembre vi è però un ultimo evento per vedere Lele alla batteria: gli Heavy Duty si esibiscono al Palasport sul palco calcato dalle più grandi star passate da Genova e mettono le basi per una stagione all'insegna del metallo pesante... Invitiamo tutti a seguirci per condividere una passione senza eguali: i JUDAS PRIEST coi loro classici ma soprattutto con le loro gemme perdute!
Dopo quasi un anno di silenzio gli Heavy Duty tornano a preparare il loro amato tributo con l'inserimento di 2 nuovi elementi, alle chitarre ora troverete Fabio e Dario, un benvenuto a loro e un ringraziamento a Luca e Andrea per gli stupendi momenti passati insieme... We are DEFENDERS OF THE FAITH!!!
GENOA, thanks to the unbridled passion of Federico (vocals) for Judas Priest starts the idea of broadcasting, through a tribute band, the word of the big fathers of Heavy Metal. Federico and Mattia (Bass) manage to complete the formation finding out a couple of promising young guitars, Luca e Andrea, and then an experienced rockstar, Lele, at the drums. With this line up the band works hard, day after day, to be able to offer a great tracklist, which covers the main parts of Priests’ discography. In December 2006 comes the first live date and the widespread success allows the band to play again two times during the first months of 2007. Summer comes and Heavy Duty has to face a change behind the drums: Mattia takes Lele’s place and, thanks to his great learning ability, the band records his first demo tape (Breaking The Law, Painkiller, Heading Out To The Highway, Leather Rebel). But at the beginning of September Lele comes back home to take part to a last big event: the concert at Palasport, on the stage where the biggest stars played when they came to Genoa.
