About me:

Holoubek Studios began in 1962 when Verne Holoubek began airbrushing custom designs on garments -- the idea that a person could make a statement with his or her clothing was born. Artwork on shirts became widely popular and, in order to keep up with production demands, Verne was one of the first to develop the heat transfer. The t-shirt soon became the focus of American fashion.

Moving forward to 2007, our company still holds the same values and focus; allowing individuals to make a statement by providing appealing design on quality garments.

IguapopGallery	Jul 3 2007 11:44 AM "Bestial" Group show curated by Miss Van Including: Jeremy Fish, Aiko, Mike Giant, Herbert Baglione, Junko Mizuno, Angelique Houtkamp, Sunny Buick, Kev Grey, Kid Acne, Landry et Limbo, Nano 4814, Mademoiselle Kat, Ciou, Fawn Gehweiler, Popi Jabiansky and Miss Van July 5th 2007 - August 4th 2007 Miss Van is one of the most important artists of a generation who started in street art and who are progressively being accepted by the circuit of galleries and museums. Her work has been shown in galleries like Merry Karnowsky (Los Angeles), Magda Danysz (Paris), or Jonathan Levine (New York) and she has participated in museum exhibitions like "Spank the monkey" in Baltic Centre of Contemporary Art or in the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal. The characters created by Miss Van are in between womanhood and childhood, they are overwhelmingly feminine and they ooze eroticism, sensuality, provocation but at the same time, they evoke a certain wickedness and perversion. In her most recent work, these characters are located in disturbing environments, hiding a big part of their sexuality and being surrounded by mysterious animals, giving rise to scenes of more complexity. Miss Van is an inexhaustible artist who has developed her talent in different media parallel to her work on walls, from pieces on canvas which already form a part of different private collections, to clothing or jewellery design. Throughout her artistic career she has met different artists who share a similar artistic outline and who have tried to move away from the
