My Name is Dennis P. Heberlie III on November 03, 2005 Ste. Genevieve Police
officer Michael Coon shot and killed me in my home in front of my sister and neice.
Officer Coon forced his way into my home with his gun drawn and deputy Lahay was right
behind him. I was running from officer Coon and he just shot and killed me.
Officer Coon is saying he had me in a bear hug and I spun around and punched him in the
face twice and pummeled his back (through his police vest) and knocked him to the ground
and was hovering over him, at that point he says he feared for his own personal safety so
he shot me. It's a LIE, there was no bear hug, I didn't hit him, I was running...
The bullet hole in my home does not reflect and upward shooting but is the right height
for him shooting standing up.
Deputy Lahay is saying he was outside during the shooting and backed up Officer Coon's
account of what happened.
(LIE...He was standing right there the whole time!)
Who I'd like to meet: Attorney General Jay Nixon. He said that my death was "tragic"
but he couldn't successfully prosecute charges in this matter.
Never said it was justified or if they followed police procedures,
has refused to meet with my family or lawyer.
Won't return calls or emails or even respond to the 2000 signatures on the petition for him to reconsider his decision.
It's been since Nov. 2005. Even his decision about this case has been removed off of his website. Is Nixon covering up? http://www.ago.mo.gov/newsreleases/2006/
