Sounds Like"Tunes within tunes within tunes as they twist and turn with dual guitar riffing of the sub-metal, post Sonic Youth variety. Time signatures are both foot-tapable and unfamiliar as the band challenge the listener at every corner - it's no 'easy listen' but then again, they rock like At The Drive In!" Artrocker

"Heels Catch Fire produce angular off-kilter songs that walk the tricky tightrope between post hardcore noise and danceable indie melodies. Where so many others have wobbled and fallen, it is the syncopated, driving rhythms and spiky catchy guitar parts that keep your attention hooked and your feet tapping" Source Magazine

"A carefully-weighted mixture of pop awareness – straight-up choruses sung pitch perfectly by Elliot – hidden among the incongruous surroundings of spiky guitar-driven, off-kilter songs." God Is In The TV

Heels Catch Fire burst on to the Brighton music scene in late 2006, born six months earlier from a shared vision of creativity and a burning ambition. The organic synthesis of vocalist Elliot’s folk influence, the art rock persuasion of Laura’s guitar playing, bassist Mike’s pop background and drummer Dave’s ferocious rock style, grew into the unique, taut, furious sound that quickly earned the band recognition.

With early support slots for Reverend and the Makers, Black Lips, The Pipettes, Nine Black Alps and Raveonettes, it wasn't long before the foursome started to turn heads with their intense and uncompromising mix of dual guitars, steeping bass lines and intricate drum patterns, and with main support shows for the likes of White Denim and British Sea Power, it was only a matter of time before they were championed by Artrocker as one of the hottest new bands in the UK and snapped up by 13 Artists Booking Agent.

Live, Heels Catch Fire are undoubtedly one of most exciting bands you'll ever see. This foursome has the ability to hold any audience spellbound with their impassioned and unabashed juxtaposition of melodic intricacy and heavy rock intensity, crafted perfeclty into a carefully-weighted mixture of pop sensibility and art rock angularity that challenges the listener at every turn.

Hi guys. Luvved the 2 songs I caught on Friday from you - too much rushing around between gigs as usual. Will try and catch you properly at the Oxjam gig + of course the Children In Need gig on Nov 13. The rocking bluies of Ben Poole Band has now been replaced by Clayton Strange who did a fine Brighton Live set at the Albert and probably more to the liking of your ever growing fanbase.

At the Children In Need gig on Nov 13 apart from the mighty fine sound you produce
punters will be treated to sets from Xanthus [an electro wizard who produces cinematic soundscapes] and the Ben Poole Band [great rocking blues trio who can also be checked out at Brighton Live] + one maybe 2 more [waiting to hear from agents]. Good luck with Beachdown. Thanks to a tipoff from Lout I will be at the MGMT gig this friday - shoould be a blast.
Love peace & happiness from Captain Bobthe dj who cares.

Hello. Please do delete this comment if you so wish.

We're just making sure that everyone knows that our debut album 'Horses For Courses' is available to buy from our little record label's online shop:

http://www.donttellclare.co.uk/shop.htm

Its been selling faster than we expected, and we currently only have around a quarter of our stock left - so we thought we'd better you all know that if you want a copy then now would be a good time to pick one up! If you buy it from the link above then you're buying it direct from us, the label aren't taking a cut - so its a bit like Fair Trade for struggling musicians.

International mail-order is available, just follow the instructions.

Thank you very much, and sorry for making a mess of your profile. If its any kind of consolation, we don't have a MySpace bot, so I'm leaving these comments the old fashioned way. Three -and-a-half thousand of them. My life is so exciting.

Lots of love

Yo
Was wondering if you knew anyone that plays synth/drums in the London/SE area? I have a backlog of London/Brighton/Midlands gigs and I'd much rather do them with a permanent live backing band.
Any word would be appreciated.
