Heidi Howes has been singing and writing songs as long as she can remember. A classically trained lyric soprano, as well as modern singer-songwriter and poet, Howes can delight audiences with original songs, Mozart arias, and Joni Mitchell tunes all in the course of one evening, and often reads from her published works of poetry. Heidi performs both classical repertoire and her original music regionally and teaches Voice and Songwriting at the Harmony School of Music in Washburn, WI. Currently her creative process involves scribbling song lyrics with her Sharpie pen on wet baby wipes in the middle of the night and raising her 2 kids with her husband. Her albums include the 2003 self-release, Even Lovers Drown. She is currently working on her second CD, tentatively entitled Mothersongs. Howes is also a member of the iconic northwoods female a cappella group, Peaceful Women.
