About Heidra (Recording album!)

Heidra set out in late 2006 to play a genre of music rare in the Danish metal scene - viking metal. The band was founded by Martin, Simon and Morten. In 2007 Danny and Mickey were recruited to play keyboards and bass, respectively. Thus the project was under way and songwriting was initiated. The demo EP The Saga came out in June 2008 and it gives you a pretty good idea about the band's intentions. Simon Christensen was relieved of his drumming duties in June 2008 and replaced by Loke Bispbjerg, though only on a session basis. In 2009 the recording of the first full-length was started. It will come out sometime in 2009.

Heidra has played gigs with bands such as major Finnish act Turisas and the Danish vikings from Svartsot.

Our first demo CD from 2008. Limited to 100 handnumbered copies. Few left. I'm trying to set up an easy way to buy it, but it doesn't seem to work. I'm working on the problem. For more specific CD information look here.
