About me: Crazy German in the Ozarks - o.k. I have to write a little bit more. I was born in South Germany (Kirchheim/Teck)and lived there most of my life. I went to school, finished my education and worked in the same region. When I was 23 years old I became sick. The sickness is called Lupus
(more info at lupus.org). During that time in the hospital a nurse told me about Jesus and I became a Christian (Hallelujah!!!). In 1998, I had a very bad Lupus attack and my kidneys failed. I was on dialysis for 4 years. On February 7, 2002 I received a kidney from my best friend Simone. In 2000 I met my husband Jim from the US. He was on a mission trip in Germany and he visited my church in South Germany. After he went home, we emailed and talked on the phone. I visited Texas for Christmas in 2000. During that time we became engaged. We were married on April 27, 2002. We lived for 1 year in Kirchheim and then moved to Bremen. Jim and I became Pastor and wife at the International Baptist Church (www.ibc-bremen.de)in Bremen. We had a very good time with people from all over the world. Last year in September we moved to the US (Missouri). We live on the family farm. We are foster parents for 4 girls (4-7 years old). We are going to adopt two of them this spring. My blog: http://heikeerwin.blogspot.com/
Jim and I wrote a book called "2=1: A Cross-Cultural Adventure (ISBN 978-0-9820241-0-2).
