The HEINRICH MANEUVER group was started in 1986 when John Heinrich first formed a music group around his original material. The basic instruments for the group have been Keyboards, Drums, Bass & Guitar with John playing Saxophone, Steel Guitar, Lap Steel, Flute and Dobro. Currently H-M together with Judy Whiting of Lilac Moon Productions just completed a new CD project and will be shopping it to the Labels and in Europe early this year!
John Heinrich is a professional musician and plays Saxophone, Steel Guitar, Dobro & Flute. John was the Horn section Leader for Percy Sledge Dec. 19, 2009. Session Leader and Co producer for Adam Fisher on his CD recording session which was produced by Stella Parton, project was picked up by Lofton Creek Records. Performed at Summer NAMM 2009 Nashville showcasing Morrell Lap Steels. John had the pleasure to work on TG Sheppard's newest project "19 Nashville Friends" the link to see the video of the making of this project is http://www.19nashvillefriends.com, check it out! John played Sax on Nokie Edwards last CD project, Nokie is otherwise known best for being the band leader and lead guitar player for the Ventures("Pipline" "Walk Don't Run" "Wipeout"), of course Nokie sounded great! Played sax on DJ Fontana's new project, BTW, DJ played drums for a guy by the name of Elvis! Played at the Nashville 2007 CRS show with Kevin Sharp playing steel guitar. Worked on a project that featured a couple of solos by Steve Lukather, the guitarist with the group "TOTO." John worked on Steel guitar, Dobro, Sax and Flute on a 3 CD project for Tommy Overstreet entitled "Country Gospel Favorites." This project was nominated for a Grammy and is currently available at Walmart. One of the best sessions John played Sax on was a for Jack Clement that featured Louis Armstrong as the singer, these were tracks that Jack had cut on Louis before he died. John has worked with Tyler Dean (Ronnie McDowel's son) in the studio on a project for CURB Records playing Steel Guitar & Dobro. Worked on T.G. Sheppard's new CD project entitled "Timeless" which features John playing with Wayne Jackson (Memphis Horns). John has played Steel Guitar on projects that featured such artists as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Glen Campbell and Crystal Gayle. In 1991 John played for Hank Williams, Jr., on the "Lone Wolf Tour" (and lived!). Right now John is playing sax and steel guitar with a 23 piece big band called "Radio Daze Big Band," John also does Video and TV work in and around Nashville & Atlanta.
