I like to work with the youth and children's ministries at church. Spending time, "Lot's of time" with my grandchildren. I love to read and shop for bargains. I sew well when I have to. The inside of the garment has to look as good as the outside though. Can you tell I am a perfectionist? Love horses, had two Palomino show horses growing up. Can't pass a Flea Market or Thrift Store with out stopping. I love to snorkel, the beach and ocean, and travel. I have been to Hawaii, England, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Germany, Jamaica, Cozelmel, Grand Cayman Islands and Puerto Rico. Hummmmmm where to go next? Life is short, enjoy it!
I like contemporary christian and some alternative. I love Pink and her songs, Broadway Musicals...Phantom Of The Opera, Fiddler on The Roof, Beauty And The Beast, Grease the list just goes on..

About me: I am a Minister's wife and retired nurse. I have three beautiful daughters, Kim, Amber & Andrea and two red poodles, Cinnamon and Lucyloo.
My grandchildren are Jordan 20, Breanna 18, Hunter 12, Elise 8, Olivia 6, Ava Kathryn 4 years, Ella Sophia 18 months and our newest grandbaby Sydnie, she is 3 months. I am "Meme" and my husband is "Poppy" we have been married for 40 years. Andrea is due to have her first baby another beautiful little girl on July 26.
I have "short term" memory loss and the kids at church have called me Ms."Dory" ever since the movie Nemo came out.
I can not nurse anymore b/c of my short term memory loss, 10 years now. It was a big loss from my life b/c I loved it completely. I was devastated at first but have since seen that God has enabled me to minister to others full time. Just without the pay. The benefits I receive are Awesome. I love working for Jesus!
I have also learned to live with Fibromyalgia for the last 24 years, panic attacks and claustrophobia but by the hardest.
I have actively worked with the youth and children in the church all my adult life and I guess I have forgot to grow old (no wise cracks out there about I forgot to tell my face). I feel very young in spirit. To me it is a special gift given to me from the Lord. I love children and teenagers. (not that I don't like you adults)
I love to sing although not the greatest and I do sing in church occas. I love crafts. I am a VBS guru. You can go to my garage and find just about anything you might need for VBS crafts. My motto is, "don't throw that away I can make something out of that!"
My biggest craft project I ever made, were for a VBS at one time or another. A 10 foot volcano, a Noah's Ark 10' by 10' with animals that stood up. A 14' by 14' room turned into the belly of a fish, it's mouth the doorway...the story of Jonah of course. Now that took awhile. I drew the city and walls of Jericho with guards 14' by 10' and I painted it all. So I also love to draw and paint.
I am crazy, love to laugh and have a good time and some would say I can get loud on occasions while having a good time.
My biggest fault.....I am a perfectionist, a type A personality. It has taken me a while to accept my way is not the only way. Although I must say keeping in with my Type A personality it is the best way....HA!
And last, I dislike pessimism. It will drag you down if you don't watch it. I really do not like to placate people. I like to keep it real and at times would love to say.....get over it! Life is full of joy, find the good in life and embrace it. JOY IS A CHOICE!
Who I'd like to meet: People who are always the same. Not pretentious or putting on airs, just the same all the time. Someone who will think of others first, who wants to help other people, and are full of love for humanity.
Someone who believes in Jesus and His saving grace. One who Finds joy in each minute of every day reguardless of the circumstances, and their cup is half full instead of half empty.
Beauty is Strength. Strength to face the deepest of fears. Strength to continue the journey in spite of all burdens. Strength to stand in the face of all adversity, Even when the obstacles are loved ones.
Beauty is Wisdom. Wisdom to accept all failings. Wisdom to admit failure and short-coming. Wisdom to keep wits in order, Even when panic struggles to reign.
Beauty is Endurance. Endurance to rise after every fall. Endurance to fight even though all seems hopeless and lost. Endurance to live by true ideals Even when that risks costing everything.
Beauty is Compassion. Compassion to show mercy for all. Compassion to provide a free shoulder and ear. Compassion to love all as family, Even when they are the worst of enemies.
Real beauty is lost forever, When measured in perfection.
