Since 2003, HELCARAXË have been churning out talented and crushing Death Metal music.
HELCARAXË began its life, known as MINAS TIRITH, as a collaboration between vocalist Jesse Traynor and guitarist Bill Henderson. Both had previously worked together in other bands, and were looking to create the kind of death metal they grew to love. Inspired by bands such as old Amorphis, Incantation, Funebre, Unleashed, Mordicus, etc., they released a 2-song demo, entitled "Black Flames". Afterwards, the band changed its name to its present day monicker. HELCARAXË, as they were now known, found a home with NJ's REGIMENTAL RECORDS. In early 2007, the full length "Triumph and Revenge" was released to much critical acclaim and fan adoration.
With so much fanfare, HELCARAXË began writing its next record, the EP "No God To Save You". Longtime metal fanatic, Pat Henry, of the NJ pirate death metal outfit SWASHBUCKLE, was recruited to play bass. Henry was able to add a new and exciting element to the band. Soon after, "No God To Save You" was released in 2008 by FALL OF NATURE RECORDS.
In late 2008, guitarist (and shredder supreme) Jon Tarella was added to the lineup. As well, drummer Mike Donatelli has joined the fold lend his crushing talents to the band and its live show. In June of 2009, HELCARAXË released their new full length, "Broadsword"on REGIMENTAL RECORDS. It is an opus to the warriors of old, and a dedication to those of us who still possess that same warrior spirit. "Broadsword" is a monument of epic death metal as only HELCARAXË can create. Also in 2009, expect a split CD with the graceless and unholy death metal band, FATHER BEFOULED, to be released on ENUCLEATION RECORDS.
