We are based in rural Herefordshire, where we have built our own studio and practising facilities. Having played as a four piece for just over a year we are kicking off Summer 09 as a five piece with the addition of Rhythm Guitarist Rob Pringle. Our music is very powerful and instinctive with a rock/classic rock sound.
We are a band with big aspirations, with the drive and commitment to put ourselves and our music out there for people to hear. At the core of our material is the ability to write well structured, distinctive tracks which combine the fundamentals of what great songs should be and the effect they can have. We have drawn upon years of individual experience to come together as a tight, ambitious, well-organised band that stays true to the essence of what rock music is all about.
Our live shows are where our music comes to life, bringing together focused, melodic vocals and driving, catchy riffs with an engaging performance that will appeal to all.
Our aim is to continue progressing as a band and build on our past achievements to better ourselves to hopefully one day get the break we have been waiting for.
At the end of the day we love what we do!!!!!
Rock on.
Review by Stephen Hudyba, BBC WM @ The Flapper Birmingham 18/4/09:
"The second band of the night was Hereford based band Held by the Code. Their sound is a tidy mix of classic and contemporary Rock, all giving the band unique spin. Powerful melodies, driving riffs and tight beats create an atmospheric, almost anthemic sound across a range of well-written and expertly paced tracks. Live they were tight and confident delivering a set that went down well with the Saturday night crowd."
