Born in Burton upon Trent, had piano lessons from the age of seven 'til my teens. I remember going with a friend to her singing lessons during that time and wishing that I could swap the piano for singing lessons instead. It wasn't to be! I've always been interested in music and singing, but often something happens in your life to trigger a change; that 's what's happened to me recently, so I'm going to see where this takes me and enjoy the journey, whatever that may be! In recent times I've been part of an a cappella group in Wales, trained as a professional actor with a wide variety of credits to my name (see Equity and Spotlight). I'm now writing my own lyrics and melodies. I'm experimenting with different musical styles and gendres. I love the way the different musical intervals affect mood, tug at the heartstrings or uplift you. Musical influences include Rock, Pop, Soul, Jazz, Latin all the variations between. Everything from Motown, Beatles and the Stones to the Rat Pack, Genesis, Elkie Brookes, Roberta Flack, India Arie, Stevie Wonder, George Michael, Eric Clapton and too many Jazz and R and B artists to mention.
