Helen, Dodge has risen like Lazarus from the dead. The longtime project has finally come to fruition and is now a labor of love.
What began as a seemingly schizophrenic songwriter-in-the-round on a back porch is now developing into a cosmic americana musical troupe of sorts, digging on the originals as well as those obscure covers that you probably had forgotten long, long ago.
Neal Canup (Moonlight Sol, Aztec Radio, Dry County) comes fresh from the studios, Mark Cunningham (The Liberty Challenged, Fundamentals, Lazy Kincaid, R.A.W) fresh from summer tours (somewhat sporadically) with Roger Alan Wade, and Corey Holland (Umbra, Glavion, Dimestore Junket), returning to Athens after an 8-year stint in Atlanta and South GA. Dina Canup has joined us on percussion and back-up vocals, but since she's giving birth to our next band member in early September, she'll be taking a brief hiatus at some point. Jackie Holland (Glavion, Dimestore Junket) joined just before the first show to help on vocals and percussion.
Mark Cunningham is registered with BMI for song licensing
Please note that this site is under incessant construction, so come back often. Helen, Dodge will continue to add music and video.
