Hello! I am Helen. Beneath the chaos of struggling to make a living and keeping mundane life at bay, I'm a composer/songwriter/vocalist/producer etcetera. I work alone and record in my bedroom. Yeah, this is the music biz for people with no money ;) But if it works, it works, and my "home studio" serves me surprisingly well!
I consider music to be self-..art?) before entertainment, so I make the songs I need to make in the moment in order to communicate what I need to communicate in the moment. As a result, it jumps around a bit - I think I have a coherent sound but not a coherent genre. If that makes sense. But all my music sounds like me. ^.^ I make music to please MYSELF, and if people like what I do, then yay bonus. But if they don't, I'm not too fussed as long as it gives me what I need.
I have one CD album out and I'm supposedly-but-not-really-actually working on another album and an EP (or an EEP, as a blog commenter kindly suggested! :D). In actual fact, these projects are on hold until I feel inspired to attack them again with full force. I'm much more involved with video game soundtracks at the moment and am enjoying it immensely. :]

Hello Helen! And thanks for the add. I talked with you about 4 years ago through your web page. I just want to tell you again what a beautiful voice you have. Your music got me through some tough times back then and now I am going through some even tougher times. And listening to your angelic voice helps to sooth my soul and clear my mind so I can take the correct paths in life. I think God did put Angels on earth and you are one of them.
