1995 First born as a trio (Jaakko, Lauri & Ville), the band goes through a few changes in lineup, finally ending up with five members (with Jari Salminen, Elias Revonta). First demo is recorded. In a few years time, more changes in lineup end up in Leo joining the band and the band that is now 4 guys, but no vocalist.
2001 Kimi is looking for a fresh start after 'Bulldozer', and it doesn't take long before he is singing in Helion. Later in the fall, it is decided that a demo CD will be recorded.
2002 'The Shores of Evermore' is released with pretty good reviews. Some gigs are done. More songs are composed.
2003 'Shores' wins the monthly award of 'Soundi' music magazine. In the summer, Hanski joins the band. New stuff is composed, with a new, heavier line of approach. Plans are made to record an EP.
2004 Fools Paradise is recorded and released in the spring. In the fall, Kim and the band part ways. Jukka joins the band, and were up and running again.
2005 A three song promo, Shadow of the Sun, is recorded. To release it, the ancient Soundi-magazines demo of the month award is utilized. The print is only 100 copies, so the whole thing is released in the web. First serious contacts from record labels are made. Pay Day single is recorded for X-mas.
2006 Gigs. Come spring, and Hanski is set free by the band. Kimmo enlists and throttle is on max again. New material is written and a promo EP, “Mercury Rising”, is recorded.
2007 The year begins with a dump-load of bad news when Jukka decides to leave the band. Nevertheless, Mercury Rising receives excellent reviews one after another. Search for a new vocalist proves out to be just as difficult as thought. There is, however, a dim light at the end of the tunnel. It remains to be seen whether it’s the train or something else…
October 2007 Search is over. After nine months of laying somewhat low the band joins forces with Simo Autio from late Causemos and puts it into top gear. Mr. Autio proves to be a real musical talent and we hope to hit the next level with him. This shall be interesting - let us see what happens along the way.
2008 Lines are reformed so that both Simo and Jaakko take care of vocals and guitars, and Kimmo is no longer in the band. ‘Bad Dreams | Broken Shadows’ is recorded. Soon after, Simo quits band musicianship and leaves. Helion is now four.
2009 Kimmo returns.

Just passing by to wish you a great week and to tell that i have already more than 20 songs ready for the next Temple of Sin cd which should be ready until september. Band has now a new drummer and a bassplayer and before hitting the studio, we will play some shows around south america. Later this year we get the band to europe and hopefully USA and Japan.
