This page is here to promote, and help in the making of the album that is all about paying homage to one of the greatest musicians alive- Helios Creed! In honor of the several decades of amazing, and monumentally influential music he has given us, we are going to produce a full length (or, more likely, a double-length) "Helios Creed Tribute" album (actual title undetermined as yet). This release will include various artists' renditions of his songs, ultimately to be available for purchase (with ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO CHARITY). The release date is of course up in the air at these early stages, but we are aiming for mid 2010 in order that everyone who would like to participate will have ample time to do so. Our primary goal to get the ball rolling: WE NEED MUSICIANS!!! If you/your band likes Helios Creed and would like to cover one of his songs, we want to hear from you! Any genre is welcome, as we think diversity can only help make this project more interesting. Get creative! Just please be sure to keep in mind that this is a HELIOS tribute, NOT a Chrome tribute. There have already been several Chrome tribute albums released but, believe it or not, none that are solely inclusive of Helios' solo material so, please, keep it purely Helios! You'll certainly have a large enough library to choose from. And, just to let everyone know, the man himself, Helios Creed, is well aware of this project and gave me his blessing, so rest assured that you will not be stepping on any toes whatsoever.
Of course we cannot 100% guarantee that every song submitted will be used in the final release, but we will definitely give every submitted song time in this page's player, and as well as a nod here on the page and anywhere else we can- we are VERY grateful for EVERY submission! :-) When submitting your song, remember that production quality will likely be a key factor- we love the lo-fi sound and don't want to discourage anyone because good music is good music irregardless of the recording quality but, at the same time, we do want this to end up being a top-notch product...
Because this page is here to make everyone aware of the tribute album as well as to give sneak previews of the wonderful songs that will likely make up the album, we won't be putting any of Helios Creed's songs on the music player, but please check out some of his original songs on the player that is posted on this page in the "Sounds Like" section, or on either of his other myspace music pages at:
We encourage anyone and everyone to be a part of this; if you like Helios Creed, then we want to meet you. And if you have never heard of Helios Creed before now, then we DEFINITELY want to meet you! Because Perhaps we can help introduce you to some of the finest, coolest (and otherwise indescribable) music on the planet, and possibly the universe. There is no one too famous, nobody too unknown, and certainly no one too "infamous" to participate here (All-Star-Supergroups welcome and encouraged!)...whether you are interested in contributing musically or simply by being a friend and supporting us, we want you to know in advance we appreciate it. Remember, this is for charity not for profit- we just want to have fun with this, and we want you to as well.

*IMPORTANT NOTE*: If you are considering submitting a song please, CONTACT US BEFORE DOING SO! Although Helios has a seemingly infinite library of music, there are some favorites that lots of people want to cover, and though we'll likely make most submissions available for digital download, there will be NO DUPLICATES on the official, final release of the album. We respect and admire all that it takes to get together and record music, and want to make sure your time and talent is spent wisely, and that your submission has the best chance possible to make it to the final release.
