I've been broadcasted on 12 local radio stations in Madison, WI. i've completed an epic bicycle journey from portland to olympia to arcata in july 2008, riding over 800 miles total, followed closely by another bike trip from milwaukee to the twin cities as part of the PNC2RNC grassroutes caravan ride. i'm an artist of the audio, visual, and time-based persuasion. i've worked in a furniture design studio, making things. i've danced at mile 333. i've played shows in cafes, at campfires, outdoor music festivals, on bicycle tours, and even on street corners to irritated and adoring passersby in washington, oregon, and california.
i've been a guardian dragon at a Starhawk ceremony in the twin cities. i have dreamed new tools of discovery, and i am using them. i'm trying to find what comes next, practicing hoop dance and poi and playing with fire.
on that note, a suggestion:
The bicycle is a tool of self-discovery and a reminder of who we are once we've been unplugged from this fucking machine that lives on our soul's essence and saps our lifeblood. It is time to unite and pedal!!
thinkin of you too, i am wandering my way to the north east to go to court and mull around in DC. are you in MN? are you going to trot towards the desert soon? love ya lady, T
I'm doing pretty good actually. I'm trying to manage working to part time jobs to make enough money for rent and that takes up some time but I'm also trying to socialize more and am hanging out with people almost every night. It's fun. I also finally got my bike so I'm trying to also be a little more physically active and I'm sure my body is happy about that! how about you? It sounds like your moving all over this country?
i don't call much, and write even less. yeah, i'm no good at those sorts of things. i still tell stories of us rocking the coast, you're on my team and in my thoughts. keep fighting the good fight and i'll see you in the streets.
ey there chicky what's up? I totally miss your face. I was showing my boyfriend your pictures and your music. I LOVE your voice. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!! I hope we can figure out how to get together sometime soon. And I hope all is well with you my love. Call me sometime. Until We Meet Again... Cheriss ;)
Lady, I miss you. I quit my job at Walgreens, totally in a transitionary period but I'm happier than I've been in a long time. I hope your life is rockin, I'll call you soon, the evolution of mankind is well on its way and the evolution of me is accelerating beyond my control and I love it. I love you too, mucho, hope life is sending you good opportunities for growth and love. Woo!
"Ticklin' The Strings" by Sweet Hollywaiians
Amazing Japanese hot string band playing 1920's, 30's, 40's style hawaiian, swing, calypso, blues, italian music and originals, featuring vintage instruments.3 songs with Robert Armstrong and Tony Marcus(from Robert Crumb and His Cheap Suit Serenaders)
"The Sweet Hollywaiians have probably the best feel for this 20's music of any string band working today. They manage the rare feat of sounding relaxed even when their playing is hot, are top notch musicians with tasteful arrangements and a full, rich, warm sound.Plus, they have a nice gamut of tunes, from King Nawahi to Giovanni Vicari to Bobby Leecan. See them live, if you can, for an unforgettable experience. If you can't, buy their Cds!" ~ Terry Zwigoff
