Hell Feels Like Home [Horror & Dark Music Reviews]'s Blurbs
About me: Hell Feels like Home is a one man from the ground up operation. I'm a huge fan of horror themed music that explores monsters, demons and zombies. But that is not the only type of horror for me, I also dig music that deals real life horror such as violence, hypocrisy, heartbreak and loss. Be it punk, death rock, gothic, heavy metal, industrial, doom, thrash metal, sludge metal, darkwave, rockabilly, psychobilly, surf, power metal, deathcore, country or something all together different I am willing to give it a shot.
Writing album reviews has been a hobby of mine for over 10 years. I've done it for web sites, fanzines, street teams, forums and to just help out bands I think deserve it. But what place does written word have in world where anyone can download anything you can think of? The internet has made music like water. It is just too easy to let it fall through your hands. Listen for 30 seconds and if it doesn't grab you-delete it. Decide you want to give it a shot later on, just download it again. Way too easy. I think the written review has the ability to open someone's mind and give them the disposition to really sit down and listen to something and give it a chance.
What made me want to start this site and start reviewing on a larger level is a band called Others from NY. I had been hearing great things about their album Garden of Rage for quite awhile and was surprised that a major seller of this type of music (Interpunk) didn't have a single review of it. I ordered the CD from there and was impressed enough to take the time to make sure that anyone who looks at it on Interpunk at least knows that I really like it.
Please contact me to submit your album or demo for review. I prefer music to submitted via cd so that I can get the whole experience of the cover and liner notes. I will accept digital downloads but I do have some quality issues with mp3s and have often found I couldn't get into something I downloaded due to low bit rate but was able to enjoy and fully appreciate it better in cd format. My reviews now get reposted at horror-punks.com and fatally-yours.com
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
Who I'd like to meet: Monsters, Madmen, Metal Heads, Horror Punks, Goths, Death Rockers, and Greasers.

Drifting A way in my own mind getting lost in the sands of time. I try to gather all the information that is beaming infront of my eyes; making little sence of what is being done, I wander round and round; acting like a fool in this theature of dreams never really knowing.....
