la band nasce all’ inizio del 2005,per idea di souldead (batteria),devaster(chitarra),e armageddon (voce).
la band in precedenza aveva il nome di undermass, ma subito dopo (souldead) lo cambiò in Hellfrost
I tre ragazzi decidono subito di fare black metal old school,ispirato a (darkthrone,mayhem,burzum,nargaroth).Nella band vi fece parte anche Marco Nieddu che per suoi problemi lasciò la band.Gli Hellfrost nel 2006 fecero una lunghissima pausa per problemi di sala.
Ma nel 2007 grazie ad ATHANOR relzzno la demo Heic Noenum Pax.
A fine 2007 entrò nella band Black Plague buon elemento che si adatta subito agli altri membri .
