daniel! writes the rubbish you see both here and on the blog itself. he can be emailed here or contacted through myspace here. please write to him, he likes people to recommend great bands to him. his lists his interests as "happy music, sad music, watching bands, canadian girls and drinking cider until I pass out on my face, but not always in that order". he also seems to have lapsed back into writing about himself in the third person..
Hell Is Chrome. is a music blog, located here in the vast wilds of the internet. A CDR label is to follow, and hopefully some live shows as well. It is written by one young man, aged 23½ 24, who resides somewhere in the wilds of south/central London. He is aware that the title is quite obviously stolen from a Wilco song, and feels no shame of this. On the subject of the name, he says this:
"The standard version of Hell, with fire and brimstone and demons and stuff, is way too interesting a concept to be considered a totally bad place. If Hell really was a terrible place, it'd be blank. A void. Grey. Hell is chrome. The real world can be a bit like that too, a lot of the time, but music can at least inject a bit of sunshine... right?"
He is also aware how ridiculous he looks writing about and quoting himself in the third person, and is going to stop doing it right.... now.
Hi! In all seriousness, I do this because I love music. That's all. If you love music, you're my friend.
If you're a band and I've added you, it's because I've written about you - that's all!
BUY STUFF! - these are some 7"s I helped release under my old label, Studio Penguin. We still have quite a few of both left. Prices are below, and are exclusive of P&P. If you want to order from overseas, please email first!
